@Yeah Ok The whole gender debacle he took part in. Very unscientific. I’m sure he regrets it.

Why are people obsessed with leaving the solar system when we have the most beautiful planet right here

@fulltimeslackerii8229 Yeah….no star will, leaving isn’t gonna change the limitations of life being…limited

    • Koyuki

      October 13, 2023 at 4:06 pm

@D That’s not the point? The point is to migrate elsewhere before an impending supernova in order to survive lmao

    • Nicok

      October 14, 2023 at 9:04 am

@Koyuki A supernova is the least of our worries. It’s so humanity would survive a mass extinction event in general.

    • Koyuki

      October 15, 2023 at 1:17 pm

@Hiiii Your lack of education is showing. Supernovas are unequivocal and extensively supported phenomena in astrophysics, backed by a wealth of observational data and scientific consensus. This is not a mere theory; it’s a well-established fact. Addressing issues only when they occur, rather than proactively, is a mindset contributing to the challenges we face in addressing climate and environmental concerns today.

    • Hiiii

      October 15, 2023 at 1:35 pm

@Koyuki none of what you said matters in the slightest because I didn’t say super novas don’t exist in the universe, I said we don’t know when our sun will go or if it even will because we have no observational data to support any real date for the expiration of our sun.

      Try again

    • Koyuki

      October 15, 2023 at 5:08 pm

@Hiiii None of what you said matters in the slightest because the inevitability of our Sun’s eventual expiration remains unchanged, irrespective of our knowledge about its precise expiration date.

      Try again

    • Hiiii

      October 15, 2023 at 5:30 pm

@Koyuki good to see a parrot in human form spout nonsense back at you. You can sound intelligent but you still have no point.

    • inues

      October 15, 2023 at 6:32 pm

Survival mainly. That star isn’t always going to shine and if we have humanity in more than one solar system then we’re less likely to get taken out by a rogue astrological body or event. We could get interstellar with nuclear bomb propulsion but intergalactic I really can’t imagine us in this form without FTL getting there.

All the money that would be spent to leave our solar system should be spent fixing and improving Earth. In my humble opinion.

    • Slowazzd21

      October 13, 2023 at 3:03 pm

God this is such a dumb take that I’m tired of hearing. “All that money” that we spend on space exploration actually directly benefits our planet, just google “NASA spinoff technology” and you’ll see they’re responsible for thousands of innovations we use here on earth every day to improve our lives and our planet. So please keep your ignorant hippie dippie BS to yourself

    • Koyuki

      October 13, 2023 at 4:04 pm

You can’t fix the inevitable supernova lmao

    • Troupe Master

      October 13, 2023 at 4:27 pm

Humanity isn’t going to change as a whole…religion, the need for resources…and just humanity’s need to be constantly have conflict with one another will only get worse…some of us can leave before the rest of us kill us all….some humans just want all of us to suffer and burn…If I had my way and interstellar exodus was available I’m leaving…I’m not staying here with the rest of you lol

Given a long enough timeline, a nuclear holocaust is guaranteed.

    • TP86

      October 13, 2023 at 7:11 pm

I love that this false dichotomy springs up every time space exploration is mentioned

and by love I mean Im exasperated at public education budget slashing

    • VDAM1984

      October 13, 2023 at 9:33 pm

Not enough profit in it. Of course, the wealthy don’t realize without the earth there won’t be profit

    • RAMPAGEJACK12

      October 14, 2023 at 6:21 am

There will always be problems on Earth. Remember 1 day it will be really hard feeding ,supply and growing a very large population we need to open up space to many things as we can to minimize our impact on earth

    • Hiiii

      October 15, 2023 at 1:43 pm

@Koyuki don’t have to when it’s billions of years away. Morons like yourself just have one track minds

    • Jon Ortega

      October 15, 2023 at 4:35 pm

It’s not that we are not spending money to improve the Earth because we are spending it to leave the solar system. That’s a false dichotomy. We spend way more money on even less meaningful things. Also, do you think “spending money” means that the money just disappears? It get’s re-injected into the economy and it’s spent on other things.

  7. Alicia

    October 13, 2023 at 2:33 pm

We can’t even make it back to the moon apparently so… probably not

    • Stig Rabbid

      October 13, 2023 at 4:04 pm

That isn’t correct, we could have gone back at any time, but NASA wasn’t able to get the money to go for a long time. NASA has a return to the moon planned for late next year with Artemis II, which will orbit the moon, and a Moon Landing planned for 2025 with Artemis III.

Humans evolving to a new species is a super interesting thought and surely 100% would happen, right? As long as there is no mass extinction

    • Jeremy Wong

      October 15, 2023 at 2:21 am

      Or an actual evolution.

  14. Werner S

  15. Justin Nixon

We are to busy killing each other

  16. Mark Avo

    October 14, 2023 at 2:51 am

With how fast the rate of technological advancement has gone I can see that happening in 500 years time. If we don’t destroy ourselves or our planet first.

  17. Juliz

    October 14, 2023 at 9:00 am

It’s funny how convinced he is that he’s right about this. But then he doesn’t know anything about the abilities we might develop, i.e. using our ‘astral bodies’ to travel while physically staying on earth, or finding other ways to access other dimensions. Also, what if aliens visit us and show us how they did it? People are too busy expecting them to want to kill us to ever think about what they might teach us.

You better hope they don’t transform it would definitely have far reaching effects on the rest of the globe that’s the issue with climate change your just shifting the eco systems around

Is that a dog at us turning ourselves into robots or wtf does that mean

  22. Interrobang

    October 15, 2023 at 5:11 pm

I asked that question in the form of a poll for my followers, but I’m glad to have Bill’s input!

  23. inues

    October 15, 2023 at 6:33 pm

We could get interstellar if we were dedicated. Intergalactic i would seriously doubt without FTL. AI and robots could get there.

    October 18, 2023 at 5:49 pm

“They”? Is he taking the gender people? If they pull off interstellar travel, I might start to listen.
