Yes, but what you’re forgetting is the underlying OS in these other garbage phones are so much worse than iPhone. I wouldn’t touch any other phone but an iPhone. if you do, you’re taking a chance and you’re probably doing it because the phone is cheaper and you definitely get what you pay for.

The difference is that those iPhone features are sitting on a Rolls Royce, while the same features for Android are sitting on a Volkswagen Beetle

That’s just not true, at least not entirely. iPhone features like sitting in a BMW 3 series, while Android sitting in a 1 series. But some Android have features that are like sitting in a 5 series.

I always said if I wasn’t an iPhone user, the pixel would be my second choice

glad you all are showing these features. Pixel has had car crash detection for atleast a year prior to Apple, if not more. Apple uses their more sensitive gyro/accelerometer to be more accurate but both still have had their issues.

Apple filed a trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI last Friday, and it’s not messing around. The complaint alleges a pattern of misconduct reaching all the way up to OpenAI’s chief hardware officer and claims more than 400 former Apple employees now work at the company. OpenAI’s response so far has been carefully hedged, and the timing couldn’t be worse with the company reportedly eyeing an IPO as early as later this year.

On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, hosts Kirsten Korosec, Anthony Ha, and Sean O’Kane dig into what the lawsuit could mean for OpenAI’s own hardware ambitions and IPO timeline, plus a bigger theme running through the week’s news: how much should anyone trust AI companies with their data?
