@pilosa_mcslothson  people with a sense of humour are the problem? No, the problem is the PC pendulum swung way to far, and now it’s offensive to tell a joke.

Equality should be the goal. We should celebrate women succeeding in jobs and roles that were, for far too long, deemed men only spaces. We should celebrate that progress! But that’s not what this is…. this is about “equity” and grievance – not equality and true progress. And frankly, it’s the reason Trump won. Cmon guys!

Awesome collection of shows—thank you so much. I was pleasantly surprised with the last bonus cartoon! It’s out of sync but still a fun show. Fun fact is that Jim Cummings is singing in his role on that show. There’s a YT Short of him on his channel singing the same tune. (Obviously I’m being discreet to not reveal the bonus cartoon.)

    March 8, 2025 at 4:26 pm

Yes, but it changed from a place at the table to demanding the head of the table. Demand in the form of political correctness, quotas, etc.

Wasn’t she the YouTuber-turned-Talk Host that was really narcissistic and blamed every bit of criticism all on Racism or Sexism?? She is literally just another Amy Schumer, with the jokes and personality… Superiority complex at its peak…

    • @JOA-WER

      March 8, 2025 at 5:57 pm

Society encourages narcissism in people, narcissists often become successful.

…It is only a recent phenomenon that women are becoming narcissistic at higher rates. In past decades it was primarily men.

    • @Kushcherry_Jollyjuana

      March 10, 2025 at 7:07 am

@@JOA-WERwow that is so true even men were encouraged to be more narcissistic

  14. @TardigradeTough

    March 8, 2025 at 4:41 pm

I don’t want a world where everyone is successful because I want to live in the real world not a utopian fantasy, there’s idiots and criminals and wrongens do we want those people to be “successful”? I think not she’s got a head full of magic

    • @JOA-WER

      March 8, 2025 at 5:55 pm

So let’s build a society where we ignore the idiots and hold the criminals accountable for their actions… instead of systemically grooming women to acquiesce to these men, propping them up, making them CEOs and presidents.

    March 8, 2025 at 4:59 pm

They don’t want to sit at the lead table of construction work team, a mining operation (build her smart phone) or as a Special Operations Crew. These are nasty jobs which she wouldn’t want. They want to be an executive at a Fortune 500 company, but not put in the work to get there!

    • @sykessaul123

      March 9, 2025 at 1:09 am

To be fair, most of those people don’t put in the work either, most get put on and pushed up the ladder by nepotism or family money enabling them. I don’t blame them, half of business is who you know, not what you can do.

  19. @Jdefries1

    March 8, 2025 at 5:28 pm

Before women got to the table, who did the work then?

  21. @janosik150

She almost made a point about our toxic legal structure for building and maintaining a company. What it takes to succeed in our modern economy, and then backflipped into basic girlboss entrepreneurialship.

That’s a crock of bull. If you work in corporate America you get treated unfairly at many levels. Own your own company. That way you own the table and treat men unfairly, making you, just like them! FOH.
    See! Simple!

After being depressed, a youtuber, having a business around it, getting award shoes being stupid and lame and this is all she has to say about the topic?
She actually vouches against women employment, women empowerment and equality

  35. @Grrrritch

    March 11, 2025 at 9:54 am

Really? You need to work 10% more? Why not sue your company? There are laws to prevent stuff like that.

LLMs may have kicked off this AI boom, but the ceiling is closer than the hype suggests. As models run out of text data to train on, the companies and investors paying attention are already moving on. The next wave isn’t better chatbots; it’s machines that can understand the physical world. Luma AI, the Bay Area lab that raised over $1.4 billion from a16z, Nvidia, and Amazon, is betting on exactly that.

On episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, we’re bringing you a conversation Rebecca Bellan sat down with Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Luma AI, at Web Summit Qatar. Together, the pair dug into where the next trillion-dollar AI opportunity actually gets built, and whether the companies chasing it even know what they’re building yet.
