This seems a very wise and balanced view.

Asking a framed question and giving an answer to that, not hearing the other site or if it is even true, doesn’t help either

I didn’t think this format is conducive to anything better.

“The grass is green” is true. It’s not a reason to throw it into every conversation you have, just because it’s “true”.

But it is not always greener on the “other side”. It IS possible to both admit that the grass is green on the other side of the “fence” and to be perfectly content with the green grass on “this” side of the fence.
I have a feeling that misunderstandings of this, in several different ways, is what drives controlling and jealousy related behaviors.

No matter how bitter, truth is better than the sweetest lie… but how you state the truth is what matters. So how and when the truth is shared makes big difference!!

A lot of people think their opinions are the “truth” and some opinions should not be shared period. Authenticity is living your truth and not being an insufferable “truth” teller. 😂

@@constanterratic4252 Again… time, place and the motivation can go a long way. But nonetheless, personally, bitter truth is better than the sweet lie. Pain is temporary… but eventually, truth results in actions that will rectify a lot of these things.

Those who are “brutally honest” are often more interested in the brutality than the honesty. Wheres your compassionate honesty? Your friendly honesty?
