“Climate doom-ism,” or a pessimistic outlook on the future of the planet, rivals climate denialism in holding up the fight against climate change, says activist Zahra Biabani. Illuminating how hope combats inaction, she takes us inside the world of eco-friendly content on TikTok — and shows that we all have what it takes to make real change.

The last video they showed picking up trash, if they inspire some tangible change their social media would appear much more meaningful than it does now, getting your friends to pick up a couple bags of trash for a short video seems like an easy ask but 10 pieces of trash that’s nothing.

Oh look, more climate change propaganda. Let’s just be open and honest about it, the elites want our rights and freedoms but they are afraid to take them so they have to convince you it’s a good thing if you don’t have any. You’re gonna save the planet if you give up your car, your home and your food for bugs. They think we are all that stupid.

Wanting influencers is wanting people to promote proaganda. An ‘Activist’ is nothing more than a mouth piece. Anyone with a working brain knows where this ‘fight on climate change’ is going. It’s shutting down farmland to take it away from the working class and put things in the hands of the rich to control. Like Bill Gates buying farm land and making synthetic meat because apparently cattle are a huge problem, even if they have been around for millenia.

  21. Laralinda

    July 25, 2022 at 4:01 pm

Sadly, it’s not about picking up some bottles from the sidewalk. I am not anxious, I am furious when I see which political parties got elected: in western countries it’s old white men who make decisions. And that is just because of demographics. In our high developed countries the old are the majority. They worked life long for their wealth, based on industries that destroy nature, and the financial sector – why would they want to stop driving big cars and flying wherever they want? Their life is almost over, they want to live it to the fullest, not give up anything.

    • ArcF1

      July 25, 2022 at 11:12 pm

Those old people enabled you to live a comfortable life. Without their hard work you would be complaining about having to work with your hands. No internet, no AC, no refrigerators, cell phones, etc. Stop and look around you for a minute. Everything is there because of oil and climate warming factories.

    • Laralinda

      July 26, 2022 at 5:24 pm

@ArcF1 It’s absolutely not about who to blame how it came like this, but how we all act NOW. Mostly, it’s the rich and powerful who don’t want to change anything.
It is not the people who work (or have worked) with their hands who contribute to climate change that much, I believe.

  24. Luke Bruce

  25. ArcF1

    July 25, 2022 at 11:07 pm

If you want to achieve your goals then lead by example. Show your dedication. The servers running YouTube are contributing more in a year to global warming than most people will their whole life. And you wonder why nobody listens.

If you only knew what goes into manufacturing your everyday items you would see that you yourself are causing more damage to the environment than you are contributing to saving the world. Stop being hypocritical and maybe people will listen.
