Why didn’t they do this for the other foldable lol

    • @dixonator222

      October 24, 2026 at 2:49 pm

@tamarockstar09 because all other foldables until now now only reached a niche market

    • @krismine99

      October 24, 2026 at 3:08 pm

It sounds like they took six months to make the machine and this phone is the newest release

  2. @seagie382

    October 24, 2026 at 3:15 pm

Isn’t this an impossible best case scenario since the forces are evenly applied and the phone is perfectly clean?

samsung makes the screen for apple

    • @kyle2546

      October 24, 2026 at 3:32 pm

Okay and? You know like every phone part is made by random manufacturers for android phones.

    • @TrizerFlame

      October 24, 2026 at 4:55 pm

Samsung makes screens for a lot of companies. Monitors, phones, tvs, refrigerators. They’re a conglomerate.

    • @Spokenblurb

      October 24, 2026 at 5:02 pm

That makes sense since Samsung Display Manufacturers,Manufactures oleds and lcds, not to be confused with Samsung Electronics who make phones and other devices .

    it sure is slow

    • @fixerdrew02

      October 24, 2026 at 6:26 pm

Looks to be about 750,000 folds in 30 days +/-

I’ll bet the apparatus breaks way before then.

  10. @carel_dfx

    October 24, 2026 at 5:14 pm

Why is the test screen also so beautiful

  11. @rgen28

    October 24, 2026 at 5:22 pm

It is not a real test. It should be done with human hands

    • @LucasFrawley-m2u

      October 24, 2026 at 7:47 pm

Why does it make a difference

  12. @0ctober31st

This took 6 months to build? hahaha

    • @matthewp1682

      Design.

  13. @francisatta5590

    October 24, 2026 at 7:14 pm

    THIS is not realistic
There should be some breaks between the folding.
Continuous folding will generate heat which will eventually break it quickly

  16. @L.LGodwill

    October 24, 2026 at 8:18 pm

An infra red camera, or a remote thermometer 18“ above the phone is needed, to measure the temperature at the folding line , if it exceed 0.25° F than the edges of the screen , I wil not concder the experiment perfect , because heat can increase the flexibility, That means we need a cool air directed to folding line , Or make the experiment %15 slower so the heat decimated, anyway this experiment must be done at 55° F room temperature or less, and the phone is off, I believe

  17. @Anesa100

    October 24, 2026 at 8:20 pm

    That wire feels dangerous xd

  18. @greenpoprox

    October 24, 2026 at 8:49 pm

Ive been seeing posts of failure at 4 folds.

  19. @notpinoy

    October 25, 2026 at 7:51 am

Gosh, before it wears out, you’ll buy a new model anyway. So no point doing this testing.

  22. @동물칭구칭긔

    October 25, 2026 at 9:34 am

You have to use the test machine used for the Fold 1. You need to match the conditions between identical first-generation foldable phones; you have to handle it carefully, like a baby, and the speed is slow.

  23. @HollywoodTRILL

    October 25, 2026 at 11:16 am

Know what’s funny? I’ve never……EVER……EVEEERRRRRR seen these types of videos when they drop an android phone. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Case closed.

  26. @clytaemnestra-r9o

It can be twice faster if you rotate both arms together

  28. @NewDay-h5i

    October 25, 2026 at 1:56 pm

    This is stressful

  29. @Superz3ro

    October 25, 2026 at 2:42 pm

This is great for stress testing the hinge, however, ZERO human beings open or close a folding phone that way…

Logically neither side should actually break, the hinge maybe…

Pressure needs to be placed where human hands with fingers will repeatedly be positioned…

    🤔

  30. @marblesrx71

    October 25, 2026 at 3:25 pm

feel like that .5mm wire used to open the phone changes the full closed force of the phone. Providing a small air gap when fully closed.

    • @mickobee

      October 25, 2026 at 4:08 pm

Was thinking the exact same it might not seem much but it means it’s not a full like for like on any of their folds slightly alleviating pinch points

The problem is the screens die from tiny overbending

  36. @toots5252

    October 25, 2026 at 7:04 pm

    But its not fully closing

  37. @mikecaresforamericanpapermoney

    October 25, 2026 at 7:18 pm

Whatever you have now is with indirect acknowledgment of technology if you directly acknowledge technology So someone is making competition with you and they have surpassed you to prevent you from being successful they would have to have more technology but technology proves that you are civilized So how are they in competition with you without currency being involved and how was someone in competition with someone who doesn’t have as much technology as them and the only way to be in competition is with technology So if you continue say technology you would gain the currency to be able to compete
