    Marvelous review????.thank u for that review.truly phenomenal

    May 26, 2019 at 1:26 pm

So that’s the oversimplified world apple users live in? ???

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 2:18 pm

Yes it’s called convenience. Do you still copy floppy disks?

    • Kevin Allen

      May 26, 2019 at 3:41 pm

+Brawndo I’ll give apple credit for this one.. they literally took all of the content and development from every other streaming service and put it all together in one place… and put their name on it. At the same time, this might have courtroom written all over it. Apple has those deep pockets though, every high-powered lawyer on retainer..

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 3:47 pm

+Kevin Allen Eh, no no lawsuits. It was all agreed upon with the parties involved before release..

    • Kevin Allen

      May 26, 2019 at 3:52 pm

+Brawndo So let’s just get to the point. This is literally the same thing Roku has been doing for years. In reality, that doesn’t matter to the Apple ecosystem. This will be a new thing to most Apple users..

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 3:55 pm

+Kevin Allen Does your phone popup a keyboard when you click the search on your Roku?

  4. Mick Harrison

Don’t need to know anything . Will be avoiding apple after the Trump Huawei fiasco

    Fire Stick 4K still rocks!

  6. SaithusX

    May 26, 2019 at 1:38 pm

I’m using other people’s account and the apple TV is way too expensive. Roku all the way!

  7. Christopher Street

    May 26, 2019 at 1:56 pm

I am very frustrated with the new app … there is no news section anymore… and the Apple TV channels have not ported all the movies and shows over from the origins provider apps ?

  8. Kurt S

    May 26, 2019 at 1:59 pm

Roku letting you put the apps in any order makes it the best.

The Apple TV app looks pretty cool though if you want to search across different apps.

    • Tube Bottles

      May 26, 2019 at 4:31 pm

Apple TV lets you re-order and download apps. Fire TV probably does, too.

  9. TheLongIslander

    May 26, 2019 at 2:17 pm

I’m not rich with 5+ different streaming services,. I only have Netflix and Prime, so pretty useless to me

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 3:51 pm

Well then this product is not for you, that’s all. I’ve Prime, HBO, NHL, Netflix, and a few others so I like this.

  10. Finley Radcliffe

    May 26, 2019 at 2:30 pm

Apple TV Channels must include Disney+

    May 26, 2019 at 2:32 pm

Why a box for that when it is in the TV with Sony, Philips, Sharp and B&O ?

    • alexisxg

      May 26, 2019 at 2:52 pm

Let me think ?…… MAYBE BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE HAS A NEW 2018-2019 TV AND MAYBE BECAUSE THE BOX LET YOU ENJOY 4K, DOLBY VISION AND DOLBY ATMOS. MAYBE BECAUSE THE BOX HAVE SOOO MANY APPS THAT NOT EVERY TV HAVE!!!!!

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 3:57 pm

I’ve a Smart TV and Apple TV is much better. Also my Samsung doesn’t have NHL, apple does.

    • Kim Rene Jensen

      May 26, 2019 at 4:26 pm

A 2015 Android TV is sufficient … Have you ever seen an Android TV ?; And there is even builtin Chromecast.

    • Brawndo

      May 26, 2019 at 4:30 pm

+Kim Rene Jensen Don’t buy an Apple TV then, it’s that simple.

  12. iSkyhigh

    May 26, 2019 at 3:05 pm

Useless until Netflix is integrated….and all movies shown on more than one service gives you the option which service you watch it from like on Roku devices

  13. Richard

    May 26, 2019 at 3:10 pm

    Thanks David.

What if the movie is offered in multiple places? Does it give you the choice of where to view it?

Is there a scenario where one may be free and another is for pay?

  14. dee sheppard

    May 26, 2019 at 3:34 pm

It won’t take off there to many streaming services some good some rubbish it be expensive there will be die hard apple fans that get it apple goal is 100million subconscious in 5 years Netflix has that number but took more than 5 years and there quality of programs is alot higher

  15. Ryan D

    May 26, 2019 at 3:38 pm

if you want to download game of thrones on your iPad this might be helpful to you, otherwise there is no reason for something this pointless to exist, sure some lazy idiot might think something like “Finally I only have to use one app and not spend the 8 seconds to backout of one of the many streaming services I’m paying for because I have money to burn” but Netflix isn’t integrated anyway so what’s the point exactly?

  16. Kevin Allen

    May 26, 2019 at 3:44 pm

Oh look.. Apple’s version of Android TV.

  17. Daniel Harvey IV

    May 26, 2019 at 3:52 pm

So many streaming services to choose from. Is that a good thing or bad thing ? Plus android phones are so much better .

If streaming services aren’t participating with Apple TV, then why should I??

  21. Christopher D

    May 26, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Apple TV really?! How about you go review the new 2019 Hisense Roku 4k Dolby HDR for under $800. That’s what I wanna know more about. Let me know if it lives up to the hype from Hisense. Thank you sir.

  22. Beastie Boys USA

I still prefer my Roku Ultra. More intuitive UI and I can easily get to my media server. Bonus, the remote also has voice control and headphone jack.

  25. Mohammed Mahmud

  29. Rickie Khosla

    May 26, 2019 at 6:11 pm

Was that supposed to be this confusing?

  30. Braveet Sweengs

    May 26, 2019 at 6:17 pm

So you have to pay apple tv and then pay again for the services?Or not?

    • PowerhousePR

      May 26, 2019 at 8:31 pm

Braveet Sweengs No, you pay for AppleTv+ and it will give you access to exclusive content.

    • Braveet Sweengs

      May 26, 2019 at 8:35 pm

So you can have all that on the free version (hulu etc to subscribe to) but if you pay you will also have apple’s exclusive content?Ok that’s fine

    • PowerhousePR

      May 26, 2019 at 8:40 pm

Braveet Sweengs Yes, is like Amazon Prime video. You can download it and watch YOUR movies for free. I have a lot of movies on Prime.
However i cant see any of their shows or streaming content behind their monthly subs cuz i dont pay for that.

    • Braveet Sweengs

      May 26, 2019 at 8:47 pm

PowerhousePR About amazon,do you think that it is worth it for movies?I mean what movies does it have. Does it have any new ones or is it like netflix?Cause netflix is good at tv shows but their movies suck. They have nothing at all. Is amazon kind of the same thing?

    • PowerhousePR

      May 26, 2019 at 8:58 pm

Braveet Sweengs Well, here is the thing.

I buy Movies on iTunes or VUDU, my iTunes and VUDU account are connected to movies anywhere. I also have Amazon and Microsoft movies connected with movies anywhere.

Because all my accounts are together, i have my movies “Crossplatform” which means when i go to my Amazon FireTV 4K or the Prime Video App anywhere else i have access to 90% of my Movies.

If i buy movies on Amazone they will port to iTunes and Vudu….. and Viceversa.

In other words i do not pay for Netflix cuz i buy all my movies. It is suffice to say i own all the good movies you will get on Netflix.

If you are a tv Series guy then Keep Netflix and Hulu.

I do not pay subscriptions to watch movies. I’d rather own my movies…

    So Apple finally discovered Roku

    • Blu Cow

      May 27, 2019 at 1:04 am

They’re always so late lol and their customers think they’re soooo much better than everyone else

    • Big Smoke

      May 27, 2019 at 3:42 am

Blu Cow there’s no other comparable „Smart TV“ device then the Apple TV. I mean, the firetv Stick, Google Chromecast etc… are trash af so apple is the best thing on the market.

  32. Chris Teasdale

    May 26, 2019 at 6:20 pm

So it is basically a cable tv channel bundle for streaming.

    • PowerhousePR

  36. Andrew Sturgeon

    May 26, 2019 at 9:29 pm

Amazon Fire already does all of this – cheaply and awesomely – out of the box, that’s how it works by default

    • Brawndo

      +Nekminute Ok, parasite.

    • Ultra Sarker

      May 27, 2019 at 1:28 am

+Brawndo the people who pay for software can screw themselves. Software should free for everyone in price and allow contributions from all. I will always stream them off a private server and enjoy without pay.

    • Brawndo

      May 27, 2019 at 1:35 am

+Ultra Sarker What software did you develop? I’m interested to know what you contributed.

    • Ultra Sarker

      May 27, 2019 at 2:36 am

+Brawndo I’ve created a CLI (command-line interface) tool in python3 for math homework problem solving. The way this works is that you give it a string input of what type of problem you want to solve, you give it the inputs that it asks you below, then it tells you how the process it used in order to solve it. And it gives you a final output of a number for an answer. And then it returns back to ask what other type of math problem you want to solve. I found this project of software fun because I find math to be intricate yet fascinating.

    • SerjG2005

+Ultra Sarker Are you from 1975-76?

Seeing the prices of each of these channels subscription I will stick with my isp plan thanks

  40. HaNooo

    May 27, 2019 at 1:25 am

The BIG KAT strikes once more. So, all of these streaming sticks, TV, built in the TV and modules are 3 button presses difference and original content. That is all. Some lazy conveniences and resolution. (1080P vs 4K) All that 4K compressed content is almost non-existant and requires the common 4K TV.

  41. BigTrainBuff

    May 27, 2019 at 3:07 am

Good explanation of a thoroughly messy situation. Consolidators like Apple have had problems since way back at the beginning of the streaming era. The entrance of so many competitors has made problems worse. You have to fire all your synapses to navigate content in this stormy sea.

  42. Lita Zo

    May 27, 2019 at 7:33 am

what’s the use of all these tv, if it can’t work without internet?

    Apple sucks! ?

  44. Mike McCarty

    May 27, 2019 at 10:08 am

    Prime already does this..

  45. TheBigOakTree

    May 27, 2019 at 10:37 am

That’s the downside of having a closed ecosystem that kept others out. Now that they dwarf your products you seem to realize that you need them!? Too little too late.

  46. Jarvias Owens

    May 27, 2019 at 11:22 am

Apple lacks innovation. Steve jibs would be frowning right now.

  47. Sharyl Simon

    May 27, 2019 at 11:58 am

The Netflix series “you” was recommended in my Apple TV app. Was that a glitch or is that show on a different channel ? I clicked on it and it open right up in Netflix

  54. michael greer

    May 27, 2019 at 7:58 pm

App is bug and glitchy. Subscribed to starzplay UK through apple app. Playback is stuttering (speed test shows connection fine and Netflix and prime running great ). tried to watch the revanant (thumbnail shows DiCaprio cover) click play and it plays a diffrent movie also called the revanent. Films advertised 4k hdr only playing back in hd .

  55. David White

      gray pierre yes

  58. Ryan Doyle

    May 28, 2019 at 2:03 am

Because going to the apps themselves is just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD.

  59. TechHandle

    May 28, 2019 at 6:42 am

Getting closer.. I wish Apple would release an EPG/guide that you can use with any of your TV OTT services (YouTube TV, DirecTV Now, Sling, etc) then an “on-demand” section that would gather all of your subscription services like netflix, hulu, amazon prime. This would really consolidate everything into a single app and give a cable-like experience for the consumer. Almost there!

  60. Mario Van Holle

    May 28, 2019 at 10:53 am

Why did he change tv’s ? Apple tv works on every tv because Apple doesn’t have its own Tv ??
