Still have high hopes for it, however looking back at Microsoft’s track record, and I can see why people would be skeptical

Yes we know Mr bursting veins. The reviewer acknowledged that it is not primarily a phone but is basically a mini-tablet/computer with phone and basic camera. If u want a phone with excellent camera then get the Samsung S20, the Pixel 5G or the Galaxy fold etc. Yes the Surface Duo is very good for what it is designed to do. There

Samsung could make a device similar with surface duo and they can do it better than Microsoft.

      October 2, 2020 at 2:59 pm

even though I have high hopes for Microsoft, I have to agree that Samsung would probably make it better if they tried

“There’s ONLY $600 between them” – The fold is 43% more expensive.

“The fold is SIGNIFICANTLY heavier” – The fold is 14% heavier

What’s actually common in both is that both are useless waste of money. Could get the lastest iphone in much less and have fun on both productivity and media fronts.

9-10 hours of screen on time on Z Fold?????? that can’t be right…just no way.

Loving my Z fold 2. It’s just an amazing device. And it’s actually very surpising that the front outside screen is really usable especially for checking facebook, twitter, instagram and tiktok. Can’t really imagine going back to regular phone now. The z fold 2 got me spoiled.

Surface Duo is the clear winner here, I would not carry a Galaxy Z Fold 2 and be really embarrassed by its thickness, fingerprints, crease and frankly its 2,000 cost. No way no how never. I have no issues with my Surface Duo its wonderful and pleased to be seen with it

I think the main issue for most who don’t see this (yet), is they are stuck with the old Smartphone iteration cycles. Its why some Surface Duo buyers need a crutch and go back to three button navigation. If one embraced the new way forward, they will be rewarded with a much better mobile lifestyle and move the goal to the futuristic stuff.

You can’t be stuck on a Smartphone slab and get to a better future. The future device is THIN not thick

      October 3, 2020 at 10:45 pm

The duo sucks old specs cheap camera stop it. Doesn’t compare to the fold 2 you’re just trying to justify your purchase

I love my Duo! It is a productivity Machine. It has been my everything device for the last two weeks. Such a BADASS phone. I can’t stand the fold 2. The plastic screen and crease on the fold 2 drive me nuts. So heavy and bulky….. Hate it. Duo is light, slick and fast.

Great video…. I’m currently an iPhone user but I’m switching to the Z Fold 2. Thanks again for your insight and differences with both solutions.

Duo fold is trash. The plastic in the charging area is breaking and the duo fold doesn’t even function properly. Id reccomend to keep right away from duo fold. It is absolute garbage.

I couldn’t tell a difference between how she said duo, she sounded like she was saying it perfectly normal to me as an American. Unless it was a joke and it went over my head?

    • simioni

      October 5, 2020 at 12:15 pm

Australians would typically say /djuːəʊ/ (sounds kinda like d-wow) vs the dryer “u” sound in the american /d(y)o͞oō/. Her australian accent is subtle, though. I would not have picked it up if she hadn’t mentioned it.
