Do you need some help? It’s OK to ask, says YeYoon Kim, a former kindergarten teacher who learned from her students how powerful and courageous it can be to reach out for support. Sharing the story of one of the most difficult periods in her life, Kim explores the happiness and joy that can come from leaning on those you love in times of need — and encourages the rest of us to start asking for help more often.

The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). Look for talks on Technology, Entertainment and Design — plus science, business, global issues, the arts and more. You’re welcome to link to or embed these videos, forward them to others and share these ideas with people you know.

Children don’t teach adults anything. Adults may learn aspects of innocence that may include asking questions but the kids aren’t teaching anything, they’re merely ignorant and haven’t yet developed much sense of embarrassment for ignorance – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as we should hold ourselves to certain standards. Reveling in ignorance doesn’t make someone righteous. We should all have open minds and strive to know more and ask for help when necessary but logic tells us as such, not kids.

Heard an amazing statement the other day…

We are all learners, and all are teachers.

A 4-year-old can teach a toddler to walk.

Seek help, and learn, ok? You will become the wiser teacher for it, along your journey.

Reply if you want to… I have listening ears and a huge heart for all. I hear your pain. Truly, my friend, from your eternal sister in Christ somewhere near Seattle and around the World…

I am here to listen, bounce a few ideas off of, and to pray with and for you, ok?

      ⚘🙏♥️🙏⚘

Everything everyone does comes from the desire to stay childlike, whether it be a rich guy in his boat or surrounding himself with girls or suburban parents living vicariously through their children. “In order to enter the gates of heaven,ye must become like children”-biblical paraphrase……..
.children can be very ruthless ,though.

Children teach us adults how to be better parents and humans. We soon learn that it’s not all about us.

Learned that one in 1995 when my feet were in the stirrups, and was awake twice during an emergency c-section. 12 people in the room. Doesn’t get more NO, it’s not all about you up close and personal for my 5th conceived, first live birth just a few months before I turned 36.

Praise God for children… They teach us how to grow up.

    Amen, anyone?

When I was in my early 30s, my best friend was murdered by her husband. So much more behind that story… would blow both of your socks off at once.

Her profound words, like yours, still hold so true today, 30 years later…

When we don’t ask for help, we deny our friends, family and loved ones the gift of helping others, to those who love us so much.

She was an amazing woman, 14 years my senior, the older sister I never had. An Angel here on this earth. She would invite you and 10 friends over for a sit-down formal dinner, start off with Oysters Rockefeller on the half shell (6 per person) full Global 9-course International meal, never let you lift a finger, no, you cannot bring a thing, everyone had their own Waterford salt and pepper shakers and goblets (wine, water, aperitif at $120 per goblet/glass)… an amazing woman.

He killed her for her $8,000,000 asset portfolio.

I miss you, Susan… my friend and Angel still on my shoulder.

We all need each other, people.

    Thanks, TED.

In a part of the United States with more than 17,000 years of human history, cultural preservation advocate Tracie Revis is working to turn the Ocmulgee Mounds into Georgia’s first national park and preserve. This park would be co-managed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, bringing the tribal voice back to an area they were forcibly removed from 200 years ago. Revis explores the complex feelings of caring for this land and shows how it’s fostering healing in return.

Hundreds of millions of migrant workers travel within their countries to seek out means of survival — often leaving behind all they know for months or even years. Many face poverty and exploitation, and they need a robust social safety net to protect them, says migrant advocate and 2023 Audacious Project grantee Ashif Shaikh. He shares how his grassroots organization Migrants Resilience Collaborative is making life-changing benefits like social security and health care accessible to those who need them while also amplifying migrant voices — paving the way towards a world that supports the workers actually building it. (This ambitious idea is a part of the Audacious Project, TED’s initiative to inspire and fund global change.)
