Trust is obvious to me with enough experience with a person. Has nothing to do with having things or interests in common. I have nothing in common with the people I trust most (other than honesty and authenticity).

Trust comes from experience. In the past, have you done the things you said you were going to do? Then I am more likely to trust you now. If not, not.

So, you think your friends are actively going to lie to you, cheat on you & steal from you?? Broooooo, get yourself some therapy, _please!_ Life is far too short to never trust good honest people. Especially, the one’s that are closest to you, that you’ve known for years. Work on yourself, on that trust. ❤❤

@Digitalhunny Agreed, there are people who aren’t worth trusting, but any of the people whom I consider to be good friends of mine, I trust deeply. People are important to me.

i trust everyone, but i trust nobody 100% and usually my trust is 5-10%, maybe 20-25% for coworkers. that’s it. family i 100% trust, but that’s an exception.

I think there is a difference between “trust” and “being open to whatever happens with this person here”
    …
Trust is knowing that someone treasures you, and even if they fail, they tried or struggled to do something that they thought would help.
They made efforts to do what they thought was right, & that can mean a lot.
But it’s not about actions or intentions…

it’s about a vested interest in something bigger than ourselves. 😊

(We want to trust motivations but that’s not always clearly established, plus miscommunications happen.) 😅
