I love my books and the way they smell and the fact that I can use them even if there’s a blackout I love the fact that the future when we’re gone will be able to read about my destruction and what happened and who we were because of books that they can actually physically touch….

I loved all my paper books too. And I have carried books with me for the last 40+ years everywhere I went. But an e-reader is SOO much more versatile than a paper book, especially for me now that I’m mostly blind. I can carry my entire library and make the text the size I need without carrying a book the size of Nebraska around.
Nobody has EVER asked you to give up paper books, have they? Why are you protesting other people’s reading ability?

Unless there’s a fire/asteroid again ???? nothing lasts forever, not even your paper books. If you drop it in water on vacation your book is ruined. Drop your kindle, you can still read it. There’s pros and cons for everything
