Anyone who says that the USA is a democracy is straight lying to you, we have a republic and anyone who’s read the constitution knows that. America never has been and likely never will be anything close to a democracy. As a “political science professor” this dude knows that and by calling America a democracy he’s knowingly pushing a false agenda.

As for the USA remaining a lone superpower, depends how that is defined. Will the USA continue to have the greatest military reach with 700+ foreign bases verses 2 Chinese foreign bases? Yes, because only the USA thinks that is an effective strategy. Will the USA remain the dominant economic power? No. USA economic power and influence is already waining and China is in ascent. Will Chinese economic clout and diplomatic clout (it has the most foreign diplomatic missions) eventually be the winning card? Let’s see. As for decoupling, China has pursued it for several years and is succeeding in Aisa and Europe, where it has already surpassed the USA, and the Biden Administration is already in hot pursuit to block China while it (correctly) focuses on it’s domestic agenda. So at least in the next few years, China is poised to make gains and it’s rapid COVID recovery is a significant advantage as the USA is set to pile-up significant debt on domestic recovery and infrastructure spending.

Another tactic used by the presenter to manipulate public opinion is the use of a straw man argument. He raises the question of the CIA being a funder of groups like the Falun Gong, and rightfully says there is no evidence of such things happening, which in itself is lying by omission.
There are many means and vehicles for the advancement of American interests, with the more publicly known ones including the National Endowment for Democracy (which funds democracy advocacy groups across the world, including those in HK) and the US Agency for Global Media (which funds mouthpieces like Radio Free Europe and Radio Free Asia, which has its own Uyghur Service ostensibly working with locals in Xinjiang). The State Department, vying for influence with the other US governmental agencies, also attempts to push its own agenda by funding groups like the Global Freedom Internet Consortium, a group largely operated by Falun Gong members. The group was offered a whopping $1.5 million USD back in 2010 during the Obama administration, and asked for $4 million:
If there’s no evidence which can be brought against the US government agency which is accused of funding a dissident group, there is likely another agency which is negotiating terms of funding and support with said dissident group. This is why foreign governments, especially enemies of the United States, are wary of NGOs with connections to the West.

So in the scenario where both nations fight over Taiwan, you seem to only take in to consideration a select few facts that fit your narrative that China would be able to beat us in that conflict. Such as the operational distance of fighter jets and the nearest military bases controlled by the U.S., however you don’t take into consideration the capabilities of those bases and you completely disregard the U.S. Navy capabilities in regard to this theoretical conflict. Now I know this video wasn’t meant to specifically delve into details about this one particular conflict but it isn’t justifiable to say that they really even have a chance.

The navy is mostly ignored because of how small the strait is, which means that only aircraft carriers would be useful by sending aircraft there. If you would send a ship into the strait you would simply lose that ship. He did forget another part about air power, Guam-Taiwan distance is not that big of a problem because guess who has the largest air refueling fleet in the world. I do however believe that China could take Taiwan. China’s planes are not that bad compared to US planes and their planes would be fighting over territory they control, besides this AA is something to watch out for. Also about naval power, China has been developing anti-ship ballistic missiles and I don’t think that the US is jumping on the chance to test those out with their aircraft carriers. If the missiles are as good as China claims them to be it could take those carriers out of action for months or with some bad luck sink them. This would have disastrous consequences since the power projection of the US is completely based on those carriers.

Yeah I don’t agree with the concept that “free internet” still exists fully anywhere, certainly not in the here in North America. Censorship lies everywhere, it’s just better hidden than in China. It takes your data, it guides with algorithms to direct what you see more often based on what you have seen, making critical thinking rounded mentalities more and more difficult to find these days and helping to create an increasingly polarized nation with constant conflict.

The USA has more so called “allies” but 90% of the allies HATE the USA. China has very strong strategic partners and friends around the world , many of China’s close friends are US allies. Such as Germany, Spain, Italy, South Korea or Thailand.

China is already more powerful than the USA. China is extremely stable. China is supported by 1.4 billion proud Chinese people , while the USA is completely divided and in chaos. China’s military out-porduces the USA 5 to 1 and in the next 20-30 years, China’s economy will be twice the size of the US economy. Also , the USA is by far the most hated country in earth, while China has genuine partners and friendships with almost all of Asia, Africa, many parts of Europe and the middle East and Latin America. The USA only has the UK, Australia and Canada on their side.

Currently there are no differences between US and China. “Demcrats” administration is good at, talks and empty promises without accountability.
