    1) Remember also that fractional shares are more of a rarity outside of the States, afaik there’s no fractional share product in Canada for example
    2) People buy stock before a share split because they expect the split to increase the price, which funny enough itself is what’s driving up the price. That sounds like funny money but that’s how most of the market works!

I think people are speculating that the stock will run up after the split because of how affordable it becomes to so many more people.

Only reason it’s gonna go up in value us cause more people are willing to buy it.

It’s so obvious that a stock split is more attractive leading to more people buying leading to higher valuation. These idiots man.

Increase in price in split (basically in Tesla’s) case will be because of Price discovery means,
    1. Many market participants, including small investors, think the stock is now more affordable and buy the stock, this can enhance the demand.
    2. Stock split provides a signal to the market that the company’s share price has been increasing and people assume this growth will continue in the future.

Lol Book smart ppl tend to have the least common sense. Theres literally charts that show a direct correlation of new Robinhood investors entering, while at the same time Tesla stock rising right along with it. Obviously us Robin Hood users see this and are viewing the run up like a pump. The only difference is bc this isn’t a penny stock, you have to account for the new long term retail investors who are counting on the lower price from the Stock Split , and possible S&P inclusion stabilizing the stock… us retailers just witnessed TSLA go from $211 to $2000. Clearly we think it has a chance to do it again. also the volume of new Robinhood retailer investors buying TSLA stocks it makes up for the 5:1 added volume of shares. This makes TSLA easily moved by us retail investors riding the hype train

Also in this video JIM CRAMMER basically explains why Hedge funds manipulate stocks purely from creating news around a company. He literally says forget the fundamentals!
