Samsung stops making the Note, I stop buying Samsung. I am 0% interested in a foldable phone. Z-E-R-O

      August 12, 2021 at 2:02 am

You only have to trade in one device

    • Cesar Ortiz

      August 12, 2021 at 2:38 am

@Thomas Kellogg trade in is not worth it the cameras aren’t better they are worse and a screen replacement then 13 a month after no no note I’ll buy apple or goggle phones

They don’t. Apple boys always buy it anyways. I’m one of them but thinking of changing.

      August 12, 2021 at 12:00 am

You’re kidding right? This whole event was basically a copy of an Apple Event

    • Sciphere

      August 12, 2021 at 12:00 am

They will, and it will be a solid entry into the foldable market. They are probably waiting for the tech to get more mature

    • Finger in My nose

      August 12, 2021 at 12:49 pm

@Sciphere one reason I’m not buying from apple. By the time they’ll try it, the competition will be years ahead.

I’m a current fold2 user I’m interested in the zfold 3 but the reason why I’m not going to get it is because not housing the spen is a issue for me and the pen is to big. To me all the have to do is stretch the display make it wider which will covert the candy bar outer display and make it a regular standard phone while expanding the inner display just so the can house the spen, basically put 3 notes together but only one hosts the pen on the side. So the only thing I’ll get this year is the watch and the buds and I’m going to wait maybe next year they will complete my wish list 1 is water resistant 2 under display 3 wider outer display 4 host spen not separate but for now I’m good with with zfold 2 .

Unless I can put a screen protector on it, I will never buy a foldable phone

    • smear my droppings

      August 12, 2021 at 9:13 am

It can go into 5 feet of water, for 30 minutes.

    • Top Dawg

      August 12, 2021 at 6:20 pm

@smear my droppings What does that matter if it can get permenant scratches on the inner screen? :/

    • smear my droppings

      August 12, 2021 at 10:34 pm

@Top Dawg ????????‍♂️ if ur that bad with phones ???? ????????‍♂️ maybe you shouldn’t own one ????????‍♂️

    • Top Dawg

      August 13, 2021 at 1:15 am

@smear my droppings Dust and lint and other items in your pockets, pets, there are many ways your screen can get scratched. If a phone isn’t able to have a screen protector on it, wouldn’t you call that a flawed design?

If you get a scratch on a screen protector, you can just take it off and put a new one on. If you can’t have a screen protector on you’re screen, then you are needlessly exposing it to the risk of being scratched or damaged because a phone is the one thing people own that gets abused the most. So it is inevitable.

    • Vasco Silva

      August 13, 2021 at 4:37 pm

It comes with a screen protector already on the inner screen

    • Top Dawg

      August 13, 2021 at 5:05 pm

@Vasco Silva Can you remove and replace it?
I remember with a previous Galaxy Fold, Samsung said you couldn’t remove it. So if that’s still the case, then it would be considerd a part of the screen rather than a screen protector.

    • Top Dawg

      August 13, 2021 at 5:06 pm

@smear my droppings That is surprising but I think I’ll hold off until it becomes a lot cheaper lol

    • smear my droppings

      August 13, 2021 at 8:29 pm

@Top Dawg yes you can remove and replace. When you get the phone new it explains that they recommend you take the phone to whatever carrier you have for them to do that for you

    • smear my droppings

      August 13, 2021 at 8:31 pm

@Top Dawg and that goes for the front and inner screen ????

Honestly CNET, please use some commentators/experts that actually use Samsung products daily. I have used Apple and Samsung products over the years, but I have stuck with Samsung phones since the Note series. I am just tired of heavy Apple users/commentators grading Samsung phones or watches who don’t or use Samsung products regularly. Please contact me and send me the products and I will gladly give you a fair review.

Doesn’t sound like the c/net lady has any intentions of using any of these new samsung gadgets ; sometimes these tech sites only breath one brand so their opinions lose tons of value. I guess that applies to all tech sites, they all use one brand. Why is samsung still trying , at least here in the US their phones have lost the battle to apple and on top of that they copied apples blue text messages lol well they copy just about every aspect of apples model of business . They make great gadgets but my god the price tag is crazy $1800 for a phone that the following year they want you to upgrade to their new version. By the way, I have not seen anybody with a fold samsung and I live in one of the largest cities in the US
