hi thanks for the video and the amazing work, 4 questions : does it support : SMS writing, call answering (even by just bluetooth), SPO2 monitoring not just when sleeping, and fall detection like the watch 3 ?

If you have the chance get the classic it is much more elegant. I have the Gear S 3 and none of the galaxy can beat this watch even be an old watch.

40 hours battery….40? That’s it?! so the watch got 5 days, the 3 got 2-3 and the 4 gets a day and some change if you’re active? I was so looking forward to this watch but that’s a deal breaker. Futhermore software still looks like the watch 1 and the design is IDENTICAL to my watch 1 after i got a stainless steel bezel on it, even has IDENTICAL buttons, can’t believe instead of progressing they went back even further than the 2018 watch , Pathetic.

I was thinking first “I WANT THE BEZEL”. But I’m not a big fan of bulging out bezels, they look more “sporty” to me like the g-shock brand, so the normal watch 4 has a much better look in my opinion. I am just really worried how the touch screen will stand up to being used when wet in the rain or whatever.
Also, your first day with 2 watches and you only do an unboxing?! You have the most self-control in the world or not that interested in getting them through their paces 🙂 (or saving enough material to create more videos for more people to watch etc of course)

Looking at the back, the sensors seem similar to my watch 3. I think samsung have these sensor ship in previous watch and they might collect data anonymously. Then introduce in watch 4. If anybody know how to loaded the software into watch 3, I bet it got all the feature of watch 4

the watch looks good… an upgrade… but the buds… without water resistance ipx7… huge let down… i think the pros are still better than the buds 2… phones a gimmick since we all know the fold system will give problems eventually… all flip phones did and most probably will… now the watch does look better in all forms… (even price is about the same at launch)

Oh that’ll be good tizen was getting abit outdated I think the normal one looks nicer without the bezel but I can see that getting scratched easy being raised glass! Snore detection probably stick a volt through you to shut up lol 😆

Does it function with non-samsung device? In particular does ECG, BM, blood pressures and snore detection works if paired with non-Samsung Android 6+ device? I read that just Samsung Galaxy are supported, but it’s weird since all sensors are on the watch!

The biggest flaw according to me is that Samsung Watches take into account your Samsung Health Profile and Basal Metabolic Rate to measure calorie burned during a workout. So they are tailored to you, providing your profile is accurate, but these workouts (except walking & running) don’t use the Heart Rate Monitor to count burned calories which is plain stupid according to me. I’m really hoping they fix this in Watch4 and is par with how other popular brands track calories during a workout by using actual heart rate and not a BMR formula. None of the reviewers bother with this in the past reviews too and hoping someone sees this and questions Samsung.

for those planing to use the watch in water activities keep in mind that if anything goes wrong i mean water damage Samsung won’t be honoring the claims that the watch is ip68 and you will be paying over 200 dollar for the repairs.

does Wear OS have a standalone radio streaming app like TuneIn or something similar you can use with LTE Version without smartphone? And does the GW4 have a speaker? I’m using Radioplayer on my Active 2 with LTE with JBL bluetooth headphones for some free music streaming since I don’t have Spotify Premium.

It seems like smartwatch manufacturers have forgotten why watches have bezels. It’s not for input (though that’s handy). It’s to protect the face from bumps and scratches. I’ve got a Fossil Gen 5 which doesn’t have a bezel, and the face has a ton of scratches. My LG Watch R had a bezel, and it never had that problem.
Ergo, I’m only interested in the Classic.

Only works with samsung phones, at least the heart rate and sleep measurements. Very sad and they are very hard to connect to other phones because you need 2 apps and an add on from samsung to make it work
