How does this work being the scenes? This was not explained. Samsung is not a bank. Every debit card must be linked to a bank account. So what bank is behind this?

      May 28, 2020 at 4:08 pm

The card is issued by Bancorp Bank

Lol irrelevant service, samsung trying to copy Apple and besides, banks already give people debit cards (that also work as credit cards) so what is the point?

    • Vector Firstbrook

      May 29, 2020 at 1:57 pm

Samsung already owns South Korea’s largest credit card company, Samsung Card since 1988. They’re the only ones who can issue AMEX Black cards to Koreans so they’re not dumb. They know what they’re doing. And whether u like it or not, as a company if it makes cash, they’re gonna do it.

Yay, no one cares about a Samsung card. Is there anything that Samsung won’t copy from Apple but somehow do it worse? They implemented what was good about the Apple Card and added what wasn’t to make it better. Instead they chose to be followers.

    • Vector Firstbrook

      May 29, 2020 at 2:29 pm

Many pple forget that Samsung is a gigantic conglomerate composed of 80 different businesses and hundreds of subsidiaries. Samsung already owns South Korea’s largest credit card company, Samsung Card since 1988. They’re the only ones who can issue AMEX Black cards to some parts of the world. They are not going to cannibalize parts of their own business that they had for more than 30 years you fool.

    Yet another debit card…

Other than no fees – which others also have – and more complicated cash-in cash-out methods, no big difference.

Like all companies always do the same. Only Apple and Google sometimes do new stuff.

This is all already being done by Curve Card and I’ve been using it since the start. No real benefit to this other than ease of integration if you’re using all Samsung devices.

Just another gimmick to boost Samsung Electronics sales. It doesn’t replace a traditional checking account since it still relies on ACH money transfers and direct deposit to its Samsung accounts . So why use it and not your own bank’s debit card?
