I ended up buying the phone despite the common negatives people have pointed out. I’m just at a point where I was tired or Samsung devices here in the US and the Pixel Tensor chips have always given me problems in the past. So it ended up being this or the OnePlus 13. I ended up choosing the Nothing Phone (3) over the OP13 for it’s design, sleek UI tweaks and the Nothing apps. Not saying the OP13 is a bad phone it just didn’t stand out to me.

      July 24, 2025 at 9:46 am

      How are you finding it?

    • @Joshua-Studies

      July 24, 2025 at 10:04 am

@@MrNuclearDuckI have been liking it so far. Only had it a few days now so I haven’t got to test everything. But it had a good weight, great hand feel, and it’s been super smooth in my day to day. I haven’t played with the glyphs much but using the essential notification feature it will pop up certain icons on the back matrix when my wife contacts vs. Work emails which has been nice so I know when to pick my phone up.

    • @MrNuclearDuck

      July 24, 2025 at 10:11 am

Thanks for your prompt and helpful response. I have had similar disappointments to you with Pixels (hardware unreliability, including overheating) although minimalist skins are my favourite, which rules out Samsung, OnePlus etc. This may be my next phone when the price drops. Does the camera have motion blur when capturing moving objects/people? This is Samsung’s Achilles’s heel in my experience.

    • @Joshua-Studies

      July 24, 2025 at 10:49 am

@@MrNuclearDuckI haven’t done enough action shots yet to catch the motion blur. It captures my dog just fine but she is lazy. There is a channel Becca Farsace which did something like 1000 photos with the nothing phone 3 and she gives a pretty deep look into their photo system it may be worth checking out.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I have one in black, and I like it – it looks better in person. The recent update has enhanced camera processing and introduced several additional features. The comparison is against the iPhone 16 Pro, which is much more expensive for the model with equivalent storage to the Phone (3). To compare Nothing to Apple can only be a complement to Nothing, regardless! They are a small British company, and in my most recent experience, they have been very responsive and happy to take suggestions. They inquire about the problem or suggestion, reply in person, and check you’re happy (Apple, anyone?). Mine came with the wireless buds, and I am deeply impressed with the sound quality, too. I’ve just bought the Watch 3. Anyway, the battery lasts longer than my previous Samsung ever did (S23 Ultra) and the photos are great (especially after the FW update). Early days for me, but I like it a lot.

  35. @squirtle4519

    July 25, 2025 at 3:04 am

Phone 3 is already super thick, and it has a button on the back. Once you put a case on it, you’ll end up with an even thicker phone with holes on the back. Yikes.

  36. @andreasschulzebaing6443

    July 25, 2025 at 5:34 am

Iphone 16 has a 60Hz screen – and you call that a flagship? The Pixel 9 might have very good main and ultrawide cameras – but no zoom? Plus, the Tensor G4 is good, but performance wise is beaten by the Snapdragon 8s Gen4. So, the Phone 3 is not bad – but it competes with other upper-midrange or basic flagship phones such as Galaxy S25, Poco F7 Pro/Ultra or Honor 400 Pro.

    • @andreasschulzebaing6443

      July 26, 2025 at 9:27 pm

Then there is of course Pei’s old employer OnePlus with its 13 flagship, currently on offer for £749 in the 256GB version, fairly clean OS and very fast. So the main selling point for the Phone 3 is, if you like the quirky design and OS skin.

  37. @pandevera2244

    July 25, 2025 at 6:22 am

you cannot test “longevity” on a newly released phone…
check magic 5 pros (2023) and see if they hold better battery health than lithium-ion…
but, 2 years is still short to test battery longevity…

you might be confused with “battery life”…

  38. @Ningboren

    July 25, 2025 at 6:55 am

The performance is way better than the Google Pixel.

  39. @mildvex

    July 25, 2025 at 7:34 am

0:07 It literally is. Nothing’s first flagship, their own flagship, they do not have a single better phone in their roster! I hate to put it this way but pulling examples with cars is something understandable to everyone I guess so… Just like the Kia K9 (aka K900) is Kia’s flagship car while Bugatti’s flagship is the Tourbillon. You see the difference? I honestly find it difficult to bother to watch the whole review when it immediately starts with a reviewer struggling with basic meaning of words, just because everyone calls everything “flagship” today, bla…

  41. @_MintArcade

Nothing of a flagship hehe. Yea it has nothing that stands out amongst it’s competition in this category other than that misaligned mister potatoes face on the back 😂

  42. @user.xrxs.3p8nubro

    July 25, 2025 at 12:15 pm

Nothing is a company that thinks a mid range phone can become flagship by selling it at flagship price. Their CEO actually believes this lol.

Was thinking of holding out my OnePlus 11 longer for NP3 but honestly glad I got the OnePlus 13. Battery is insanely good. Wake up for work at 8 am at 100% then going to bed 10pm at 60%.

S25 and OnePlus 13 battery life are not in the same realm. Not sure why you’d compare this phone with those 2. Just pick one so the viewers can get a better idea of what you mean.

  47. @TheCannonMovement

    July 27, 2025 at 7:12 pm

The nothing CEO is awesome and hilarious. 😂😂

  48. @namcojr

    July 28, 2025 at 4:06 am

Stop complaining about the cameras being “off-center”. Why does everything have to be “perfect”? The only REAL problem with this phone is its price, -$100 and all would be fine, SoC included which is more than enough for everyone. Why are people always striving for the latest most powerful SoC when they don’t even use HALF of its power most of the time? I hear a lot of complaining about the Z Flip 7 not having the SD8 Elite, but when actually using the phone, nobody would even notice there’s an Exynos 2500 in there.

  49. @Duran-not-Duran

    July 28, 2025 at 11:25 pm

    battery life, they are short
and many of the features is geek stuff not the average user.
