All I want is to be able to read a book in my glasses while I walk down the street. Do that and I’ll be happy

      September 25, 2024 at 6:59 pm

That will be easy. I want to watch movies while working.

I was really interested until it mentioned Meta !

Meta is the industry leader in this technology field. Sorry for your loss.

If meta leapfrogs Apple that would be something I never saw coming

    • @smittyvanjagermanjenson182

      September 25, 2024 at 8:06 pm

Yeah Tim had better get Cooking, because apple needs to have an answer to these or they start looking ancient!

You’re the best. You and Norm from Tested are the only two I trust on getting a REAL scoop of what unreleased tech is like to be used.

Confirms that Meta is the new Apple…. at least when it comes to AR. Pretty amazing when you think about it.

Another gimmick to support social isolation and a threat to others privacy as people cross the FOV. This sounds like an obsession rather than an actual product

    • @justsomeguy8385

      September 25, 2024 at 6:59 pm

The whole US is built on social isolation. At least we can have cool toys to make it more enjoyable.

      September 25, 2024 at 8:17 pm

Hi, i wear glasses as part of life, being hard of sight, not because of some obsession with isolation. This technology is amazing and I’m here for it.

Samsung solid state batteries will make revolutionize these glasses.

Something tells me that none of these companies will win the VR/AR race. I genuinely believe they’re focusing on the wrong technologies and ideas. I have a feeling that the next big breakthrough, in relation to virtual and augmented reality, is something we can’t even comprehend yet. It almost seems like Neuralink might come out on top in the end.

Thanks, as always, for the fantastic video. You are the best when it comes to this playground. I see meta also came out with new version of the Rayman Meta glasses. Like you , my eyes aren’t great. And last year and the year before I went through a 45 minute LensCrafters order process in store to get called 3 days later that they could not put my prescription in the glasses. Do you know if the third time is the charm. Have Facebook increased prescription compatibility? The Internet and LensCrafters can’t answer this. I’m hoping a fellow prescription challenged guru like yourself might have gotten better answers from Mark Z & company. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

I want AR glasses that allow me to full screen a web browser to watch anime without my contacts that I can still read the sub titles. if this brings that to reality I’ll buy it.

    • @buckhaa1502

      September 25, 2024 at 7:54 pm

That kind of already exists…. There are glasses that serve as a display that connects to a neckband player or hand-held one

  18. @buckhaa1502

    September 25, 2024 at 7:50 pm

Now these are what I would actually call AR glasses…There are many glasses that claims to be AR but are actually not…Meta is stepping it up…

  19. @smittyvanjagermanjenson182

    September 25, 2024 at 7:53 pm

LEEETSSS GOOOO!!! this is incredible tech! I’m ready! I’m gonna start saving for the consumer release, which i assume will come in premium and affordable, buying the premium ones!
