On the zoom lens test, the s26 picture was blurry and the grass looks too neon. The iPhone picture did look worse exposure wise, probably due to the bright sidewalk in the back, but it was sharper.
With the zoom test, it would’ve been more objective if it was a picture of a far off building or static object.
Other than that, great review 👍

2:34 Why would it matter if the radio in the background was better defined on a portrait mode shot? Shouldn’t foreground be thing that matter more in a shot like that?

I’m surprised you like the washed out ones of the S26 ultra because the iPhone 17 pro ones are a bit true to life in my opinion

Is important to say that you can get the same cameras on the 17 pro, which is “cheaper”, the 26 lineup doesn’t offers that.

Being an amateur photographer, I like to play with the settings on my phone. While both phones cameras are really good using their factory settings, I like playing with the settings to make the pictures better. You complained that some of the flowers were a little washed out in one of the pictures that the iPhone took. In order to fix that what I will use a different exposure setting. I’ll use EV value of -.3 or -.7 depending on how washed out I think it’s going to be. If I’m not sure I’ll try a picture with each setting just to get the best shot. I use the same technique on my digital SLR.

For me the cameras were similar enough that wasn’t my deciding factor to leave apple behind after 7 years and 3 models.
The last 2 iphone upgrades just felt like i was paying another $1500 to get a new battery and a new color. The 17 pro max over the 15 pro max didn’t feel like a real upgrade, it didn’t even ferl tgat much iver a 14 pro max. The s26 ultra actually felt like a new upgraded phone worth the money

Who cares about phones using outdated camera technology? You’re only forced to use them in limited markets like the USA that sell these phones.

What happens when you put both photos from each camera and blend them together? Would that be the more superior than from each camera?
