Thanks for watching! Just to be clear, you can still charge the new MacBook Pros with almost any USB-C charger, by using one of the three USB-C ports (as shown at 2:15).

      October 25, 2021 at 10:36 pm

So why is your reviewer suggesting you can’t, and that he’s inconvenienced by MagSafe when MagSafe is optional?

    • Ame

You can still charge with USB-C

I think the macbook pro 16″ has excellent external design especially those bezels and camera placement, port selection is exactly what I need, a little heavy but still great…

That is the 2019 model, no need for silly things like notch, HDMI, outdated design, more weight/less portability, that being said very interesting performance and screen.

    • l21n1

      October 25, 2021 at 11:28 pm

It has the pro moniker for a reason, lightness isn’t the first thing

    • Bazzer

      October 25, 2021 at 11:35 pm

@l21n1 I disagree, you reasoning applies to the Mac Pro, this is a laptop first and I doubt the vast majority of users will get anywhere near draining the battery.

    • l21n1

      October 25, 2021 at 11:57 pm

@Bazzer there is the MacBook Air, maybe they should make a 12 inch one that’s lighter?

    • Bazzer

      October 26, 2021 at 1:16 am

@l21n1 That isn’t a bad idea, but irrelevant for this discussion, and reducing the screen size isn’t the only way to reduce the weight.

I think that Apple led the way by only having usbc ports, however I can see why a small number of people feel it’s convenient to have some outdated ports built in.

The M1 series chips are groundbreaking, and the performance is definitely a valid reason to upgrade. I am only expressing my personal opinion that the design, weight and port selection is a big step backwards.

Is this slightly sped up. Sounds weird.

“Why did apple decide to put a lot of the ports back into the MacBook?”…

You’re the worst reviewer of this product, it’s just like your hairline… it’s worst.

  12. Kagari

    October 26, 2021 at 12:04 am

Wtf was this? This is by far the worst MBP “review”. Criticizes MagSafe yet doesn’t know that you can still charge from the USB-C ports as well.

  13. Like A Gentleman

    October 26, 2021 at 12:12 am

He talk too much! He explains so much before showing us anything.

  14. Daniel Critchfield

    October 26, 2021 at 12:14 am

Good news is that Apple confirmed that the USB-C ports CAN still be used to charge the new 2021 MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inch. So if you left your MagSafe at home you can still use USB-C!

1:23 how greasy that keyboard already is after imaginably less than one day

  17. KAriesse- Min

    October 26, 2021 at 12:41 am

I’ve yet to find reviewer who allowed us to hear a keyboard sample, and without noise in the background. That too is important for lots of us. Gosh sigh. ????

  18. Aerohk

    October 26, 2021 at 12:45 am

It still has that classic MacBook Pro design with gaint speaker grill. Not the major redesign I was looking for.

  19. Mateo Escueta

So what if one isn’t “pro” for this pro laptop??? Stop gatekeeping.

  22. Nicholas D

    October 26, 2021 at 1:06 am

No more emojis ???? on the Touch Bar, sad. Hopefully it comes back. Maybe they could make that an option.

  23. Dan Sanger

    October 26, 2021 at 1:17 am

I agree with you about MagSafe. I think every small electronic device (laptop, tablet, phone, smart speaker, clock radio, whatever) should use USB-C. I’m tired of the proliferation of incompatible chargers. However, it would be nice if the USB consortium came up with a standard for breakaway cables.

  24. Jacob Kohn

    October 26, 2021 at 1:26 am

    could it play apex

  25. Shegeloaf

    October 26, 2021 at 1:27 am

    Apple macs are disappointing.
    1. They left out sd uhs3 and hdmi 2.1
    2. Face id and have us a thick body. That’s dumb.
    3. Laptops running with less watts should not run hot therefore does not need chunky fans so the case could be smaller.
    4. Get rid of the mac.
