2 days is terrible battery life for a watch. When will we get Smartwatches that can last at least a week?? Why do we settle for this?
@HouseMusicAllNightLong
August 7, 2024 at 8:55 am
True. My Garmin Venu 3 gets 8-9 days of battery life (4-5 with the AOD on). I was tempted by the OnePlus Watch 2 because of WearOS but the battery life put me off.

2 days is fine for Wear OS. You’re never gonna find a smartwatch on that platform with more. My Garmin lasts longer but is severely gimped on features.

Well there’s smartwatches and fitness trackers. Watches like Garmin and Pebbles are fitness trackers. Smartwatches are Apple Watches and Galaxy Watches, the OS takes up too much power consumption. Basically you have to get what you desire: battery life with less functions or more functions with less battery life.

@@superiortoall22 not true. My Venu 3 has plenty of smartwatch features such as media controls, full notification support, contactless payments etc. It’s definitely more than just a fitness tracker.

I just got the OnePlus Watch 2 as a gift and while it’s working well, I can’t figure out how to get SMS text messages. Calls come through. WhatsApp notifications come through. Even my doorbell notifications come through. What’s up with the text message function??

im different, i bought apple watch ultra just to use as a watch only. Meaning i use it ONLY to tell me the time. ALL the other features or apps i NEVER use and dont care about them. I just like the look of big watch. So thats why i like this watch in this video. And if i got it, it i dont care about any of the features other then just show me what time it is. Now, heres the one issue i have with apple watch and im sure there NEVER going to fix or add this feature to newer model. I hate how apple watch wont show the seconds hand on a analog style watch face. When the display brightness goes to the lower level it turns off the seconds hand so you cant see it anymore. And this is soooo stupid. Many people need the second hands to check pulse of patients and very important things like this, yet apple turns off seconds hand when brightness dims. So the million dollar question is, does this R2 D2 watch or whatever its called, does it show the seconds hand even in dim mode? If not, then i will have to pass. My next smart watch purchase is only a model that has always on second hand on the analog watch faces. ✌️

I hate how smartwatch manufacturers only make bulky big watches

Because the battery capacity can’t be compressed. If you want a 2-3 day battery life, such as this one, that is something that can’t be changed.
