There were many rumours of the iPhone 16 being a slim model just like the iPhone 6, return of the bendgate test

With how absolutely confusing the WWDC introduction of AI (“Apple Intelligence”) was in the sense of when & where it pulls from ChatGPT versus Apple models, I am quite interested to see how it will be marketed to the consumer side. Devs at WWDC and Apple pundits can deal with complex narratives, consumers are another story. Also AI is a SOFTWARE resource, and this September 9th event has always been about the HARDWARE, so they will need more than talk about how AI will take over their lives for people to dish out for another $1,000-$2,000 phone.

@CNET, take another look at the “It’s Glowtime” teaser image. It sure looks like an Airpods Max silhouette to me with the earcups and old headband (and maybe even a new one?), and possibly an Apple TV or Mac Mini, perhaps an airpods pro case as well. Also the airpods pro already has a speaker in the case, and it already can be located with sound chimes if I recall correctly. Funny that even CNET tech reporters are getting lost in the sauce of all these quiet feature adds over the years.

I really love Apple to announce that they are going to launch iPhones every 3 to 5 years instead of the pointless new one every year.

I’m actually expecting to hear about the iPad Mini 7 Pro, it was teased at the iPad event yet the Internet is acting like they are the type to get up at the end of a movie that has a post credit….

I would like to hear about the iPad Mini 7 or 7 Pro and hopefully the price isn’t an arm and a leg because to Apple the word “Pro” means $$$$

Is there anyone besides me that couldn’t care less about AI. No I don’t think it’s going to destroy humanity or the world, I just couldn’t care less about AI in general. Companies and people in general are making way too big of a deal about AI. It reminds me of the whole 3D TVs. They were all the rage back 15 years ago and now you can’t buy one. I’m not going to say AI is a fad, but I so can’t wait until people stop making a huge deal about it.

Unless you over 65/70 the Apple Watch is so lame. Every year fall detection, blood pressure monitoring etc. I had an Apple Watch 5 and 9 and sold them after 6 month and luckily got most of money back. Great quality but it’s just another iPhone. Just ordered a Garmin a proper sports watch, it’s a huge game changer ????

  25. @arnevesper

    August 27, 2024 at 11:46 am

The “leaked” blueprints of the new apple watch says it will be fatter, not thinner

My wish for Siri/AI: Fix the interface with Music Library. When I jog, I can’t say “Siri: Under Albums in my Music Library, play Beethoven’s 9th Symphony conducted my Karajan” or any combination of requests for anything of any genre. I need to stop and fuss around with my iPhone, which for evening jogs is a special pain. So come on Apple, make Siri Apple Intelligent!

have I finally found someone who knows that the “X” in iPhone X was a roman numeral for 10 and not the letter X?? it’s unreal how many people think it was the letter X when Apple never once called it by that name…

  31. @JoeKnowsWorst

    August 27, 2024 at 2:25 pm

with some of these trade in deals you get from the carriers nowadays, to me it almost makes more sense to upgrade every year, since that’s when you get the most value back… I got $800 from t-mobile for a base iPhone 13 when I got the 15 Pro at launch ????

  32. @user975bg

    August 27, 2024 at 3:17 pm

    Bring back the iphone mini!!

  38. @MarcoTrafecanteLamboy

These rumored colors seem awful. I hope they’re not accurate.

Bringing the spatial video to the base iPhone lineup makes me feel as though a “base” cheaper ‘Vision Air’ may be in our future.
