She joins Ed Ludlow on…

this is a joke, right? A pun in itself. Also, no one wants a robot with a camera from a company as unserious and unconcerned as hugging face. So they want to record children? Come on, these people are drinking their own Kool-Aid.

First of all, the company in charge of the robot is Pollen Robotics, which is French.
Second: From the EU, that’s an open source robot… won’t do anything that you don’t want.

The CEO naming World models for controlling micro Duck is just funny, this is exactly were NVIDEA marketing is pushing 🤣
Remember NVIDIA is a hardware company. They build both Edge AI hardware as model training hardware. The most growth will most likely be in effective local AI hardware, as datacenter hardware will go to specialist optimized hardware financed by hyperscalers, not at local AI that market is much more protected for a NVIDIA Monopoly.
It also explains their target for opensource AI as that is more rules by opensource models because of the less capabilities of the hardware.

August 30, 2026 at 8:34 am
Even if Nvidia discontinues the Microduck, it will still work. At the core You have a RocketChip RK3566 running Linux. Everything is documented in the Pollen-Robotics Github: the architecture, the design, communication between the system and the servos, inertial sensor, camera, … all is there. No cloud, no account, no monthly fee…

It wont be long until we have small robots controlled by AI as a small companion. Just like a toy friend that can respond to you and see you etc. After that they will start working on robots that are more towards helping and actually doing stuff. 2026 is a fun year.
