You can buy a sampler software and do the same thing

Yes. There are a few of them out there but you can’t do all those effects on the web interface. The player has much more functionality.

Lol 200 dollars for the player and you think the albums free?

    • CNET

      February 26, 2022 at 4:26 am

I mention that it’s not free at the end of the video because the player costs $200 but if you own the player, Kanye made a few of his albums available in there at no extra cost.

Just for the first few weeks of the release. He will for sure publish it on music streaming platforms but for now the early adopters of his stem player get the exclusive release to play around with.

You know I didn’t actually pay for the Stem Player right? CNET paid for it. And I do mention near the end that the Kanye albums are free but the Stem Player is not. But you do get a cool device that can remix and jam on any song you upload into it.

4 files per song and the device only has 8gb of storage? For $200?

Hope you enjoyed my Kanye Cosplay. The early adopters of Kanye’s Stem Player get access to a number of his albums for free to download and remix, but yes, the player costs $200 which is pretty steep. And the lack of storage is def an issue. It’s not just an MP3 player though as some have said in the comments. It’s a tiny mixer with a ton of functionality so you can remix any song and make it your own.

How much was that nipple your holding again?

First off. This was a horrible review. You kept calling the songs.. “albums”. Secondly which you corrected at the very end.. this is not free. 200$ for 8GB? And on top of that the album isn’t even properly done.

I feel like this was a rushed review to say that you guys reviewed this product first. The product itself IS interesting and I am a huge Kanye Fan.. but rather purchase an iPod Classic with 256GBs for the same price and have unlimited music. Maybe if Kanye added his whole discography at stems then we will all be talking. But this isn’t it.

This was not a review. It was a ‘how to’ as stated in the title of the video. Kanye has added multiple albums to the device. The review/first look is linked in the description. Thanks for watching.
