I haven’t got AC I just open the window
@Betweoxwitegan

Yeah, I am missing something? If you open a window fully it cools more than an AC and it’s free, especially if you open two windows opposite each other.

@@user-yr8jj5ut7z Yeah, just opening it slightly is typically enough, AC’s are mostly for convenience unless you live in a humid hot area like the middle east, etc.

She should have talked about cooling towers. Not Air conditioning… I don’t think she has all the facts, and I don’t know how her being an architect qualifies her to speak in this????♂️.. because when I build a new building, all the architectdoes when they come on site is complain about where the light switch is going…

Most of these issues could easily be adressed and solved by traditional architecture instead of ugly modernist stuff.
@Betweoxwitegan
July 29, 2024 at 2:03 pm
Depends on what “modernist stuff” is, I like contemporary and traditional architecture personally, but it definitely depends on the specific style and design, I think a disproportionate amount of contemporary buildings are ugly, adding greenery really does make it look so much better whilst adding shade, increasing water absorption, etc.

rolly -polly is real cute and cool but has to be long term tested in lab first to prove that they do not polute in any way durin building, installation or end of life dismantling first.

this was both eye opening and inspiring, to see someone with involvement in architectural development prioritizing environmental concern and quality of life for citizens as well as corporate incentives for implementing these changes.
