He talks about the “overview effect” and it being an intensely emotional experience that astronauts have… With the world’s wealthiest headed to space it makes me wonder what emotional effect it’s going to have on these people. Will they realize that they are literally destroying our planet? That we are all on the same team? Will it be a humbling experience at all like it is for the others who have done it?
Tbh I doubt it… But it does make me wonder. Money is the root of all evil. It warps your ego and perspective. I wonder what it’s going to be like for someone like bezos with a god complex to have a seat in the womb of the universe.

It’s honestly a demonstration of how capitalism is broken! If Jeff Bezos was paying his fair share in taxes like everybody else he wouldn’t be able afford to go to space.

We need to adapt our capitalism to the current technology that’s deployed in our economic system which was not designed for the current technology! To many jobs are being lost to AI and Robots ( universal basic income will be needed)

We need a break up companies like Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon, into smaller private companies to create competition! We Live in a socialist capitalist state not a pure Capitalist of the state!
