That’s not true it was actually a really good movie and I’m pretty sure most people loved it, audience wise. Not sure if rotten tomatoes has the audience vs critic rating since it’s still out.

I agree the movie was trash. The science was elementary level. He made friends with a pet rock. The editing was horrible.

@charliechaplin2561yeah you’re right. It was too fun and optimistic too. Sci fi should be depressing and hopeless, and the science should be intricate and confusing to the average viewer (I would understand it though because I’m a genius). And aliens should all be represented as evil creatures. Just disgustingly bad writing.

Unfortunately, book has been sold out for a while in my country, so I watched the movie pretty raw. As a grown man, I tried my hardest to hide my tears. I failed and it was amaze, amaze, amaze!

The movie was terrible, 9th grade level science. Emotional connection of a pet rock. I thought it was a joke. The flashbacks made it ridiculous.
