I see fun ideas that are not feasible based on price. Not for a very long time.

Why would I need the subway line on the train window? Why would the driver need info on their screen? There’s HUD already anyway. It looks cool but it’s not practical. Try reading the map on the train window at noon when it’s super bright.

I guess you could say that these transparent OLED displays are CLEARLY different from the competition.

They should also add the feature to switch between transparency and opaqueness kinda like those bathroom ‘smart glass’, to improve the display quality. I think that would be a pretty sick idea. Can definitely be pulled off too.

This is cool, but no where as good picture quality as a standard led TV. I want to see the video , not my wall

    Go out to eat!!!

It looks cool and fun but seems more like a novelty item. The moment you create transparent OLEDs the concept of contrast ratio and HDR goes out the window. The main reason OLEDs are even considered valuable today is because they offer infinite contrast ratio when they are turned off by allowing for rendering perfect blacks. However I can definitely imagine these being useful for things like an Airplane HUD or some sort of display on the windshield of a car.

Why is LG the one with great Ideas but not making the products mass produced
