Try to sell cars in Europe without Euro Ncap safety.

Let face it Niio is a Chinese copy, but without the battery efficiency of a Tesla. Instead, they will do a lifetime battery warranty with CCP money.

Do your DD. NIO is engineered in Germany, the software is from Silicon Valley, and the assembly is done in China.

What i really like about nio is the standerdised batterypack wich can be recycled and replaces verry easily.

It also limits design flexibility and adds billions in expenses that need depreciating. It’s a product leading to nowhere.

      April 21, 2021 at 12:20 am

@Greg Helton it only limits the wheelbase, and it allows for amazing tech like battery swapping. Do take a look first before you criticize it

    • SomalianGamer

      April 21, 2021 at 12:25 am

@Greg Helton it leads to a closed environment that people can get use to as they swap out batteries for full ones for a subscription. it is a great money maker if the adoption of the care goes up. You only need to build the infrastructure once to start making billions from it. imagine having 5 million users on a 20$ a month subscription would be 1.2 billion a year or they can go half that and get 600 million a year. You get a guaranteed customer for your charging and battery swap infrastructure and can advertise through whatever app they have to verify the customer. They can also take on other manufacturer’s vehicle customers by letting them use their battery casing.

@Greg Helton You can have a 5 year old EV and have the latest battery tech installed in your car. That would create strong brand loyalty.

NIO is one of the winners and could end up being the champion 🏆 in China and who knows if they along with TSLA conquer the global EV market.

China has both the largest ICE and EV markets, the US is soooooo far behind, betting on america no longer applies, the game has changed and US was overly complacent and fell asleep, you reap what you sow

If NIO is so good why is their stock keeps going down?

    • Roman Affolter

      April 21, 2021 at 12:49 am

Haha the stock is not the company! It will eventually catch up. The trick is to buy the stock when it’s cheap then hold long!. Nio will be an absolute monster company. The stock is being manipulated along with many others in the EV sector right now.
