Gary Just Gary remember folks 9 for the hood and 10 for the woods ????

    July 18, 2020 at 12:30 pm

Your list is flawed seeing how it doesn’t contain a firearm. A lot of bad things can happen to someone in the woods whether it be an attacking animal or person.

      July 18, 2020 at 3:55 pm

Gary Just Gary these people don’t use logic, they figure if they sing Kumbaya their problems will magically go away. In reality it’s stupid not to have some sort of protection against man or beast when out in any wilderness or even in the city.

      July 18, 2020 at 4:16 pm

Gary Just Gary Remember that not everyone knows how to safely, and properly use a firearm. One thing I learned in my stint in the military is if you are not FULLY prepared to use it then you just became a tenfold danger to yourself. There are some that don’t even know what a safety is.

    • Ax El

      July 18, 2020 at 4:20 pm

As well firearms aren’t legal or difficult to obtain in some states

    • Gary Just Gary

      July 18, 2020 at 4:29 pm

To each their own. I choose to carry the means to protect myself and my family and I also choose to live where I can do so. You can also damn well bet I’ll defend my family without thinking twice.

    • Bedjam Rivera

      July 18, 2020 at 10:22 pm

@Gary Just Gary if the only way you know how to defend yourself is a gun then I feel sorry for you.

    July 18, 2020 at 12:42 pm

Recommend a more capable knife like an ESEE 6 and sharpening kit. Also recommend a foldable saw like a Silky. Recommend making your own first aid kit with: trauma sheers, lots of gauze, trauma bandages, tourniquet, tweezers, rubber gloves, ace bandages, SAM splint, pain reliever, vitamin A&D cream, Orajel for tooth pain, etc.

Decent advice but there’s whole books on this stuff. And I’d never heard of this school despite having friends in Sultan WA where this is located and growing up nearby. (Northeast of Seattle)
