Most people are not going to buy more expensive smart phones just so they can run AI on them. AI can run in the cloud from a service, where even a dumb phone could work. People will tend to pay for AI services and use affordable phones. Beyond that, more tech savvy geeks will run their own AI models at home and remotely access that with their phones when need be. Also, perhaps in ten years or so, expect smart phones to be replaced by small devices that we mostly just talk to. No more looking at screens and doom scrolling through crap. We just talk to our AI agents that help us with everything, for basically free. Arm could somehow come out ahead with those future tends, but it won’t be from us buying expensive smart phones.
