Anxiety is when we overestimate the danger and underestimate our ability to handle it.. remind yourself it’s not that bad and you can get thru it! You have before!❣️

Was there a third thing?

Good stuff, but I recommend to not force the box (all equal numbers of seconds for each step). It’s sure not a catchy name, but I find an evolving scalene quadrilateral breathing method better. The key is to take big slow breaths, and listen to your body’s need to pause, breath, etc. That often starts as an 8-6-7-4 for me but then I let it evolve to my body’s needs.

The third tip is much too imprecise.. when I’m feeling anxious, there’s no way I could simply implement ‘focusing on what I can do’ lol

I tried this breathing method several times. But it only pushes my anxiety. I don’t know why, but for me it worsens the problem. Just steady, calm breathing, without thinking too much of making inhale, exhale equal, works best for me.
