@brandon smith LMAO, most of the world doesn’t even know when the superbowl is, they only realise it’s happened when all the movie trailers come out

      February 10, 2023 at 7:24 pm

Thata the point. Americans are a culture genius

Unfortunately Apple forgot it sell services in whole world and started to make them US only

@Sebastian Szwarc it’s their biggest revenue earner so obviously

Its beyond time to correct the playing field for “tv” unless its live sports everything else should be through the antenna or FAST (Free Ad Supporting Television) channels (like Pluto).

Sports is the only thing keeping cable alive. Without sports cord cutting wouldn’t be a thing anymore because everybody would have cut it 5 years ago.

I follow Premier League on Peacock. Would be interested in taking a look at MLS. Not into NFL, MLB, NBA or NHL that much to pay big bucks to watch any season’s worth of games.

Please ask Apple to include the National Women’s Soccer League. Women’s sports often don’t get any coverage that can be found on any platform. I would pay to see that!

Ah, the American mind which truly believes we all watch this around the world… Never seen a half time show in my life. In fact, never seen their version of “football” 😅😅😅

VR exclusive is coming (theory). Use your apple VR headset to sit midfield in real time. Feel like you are there. This way, they can control quality and access.

      Hope you’re right.

    • vagabond

      February 11, 2023 at 4:33 pm

I too think VR is the real play here and would completely change the way sports is viewed worldwide (for those who are not seated on the stadium) but it is too early for that to happen.
My guess is sometime around 2025-2026 we can see some local implementations because it would require a whole new camera tech as well as streaming bandwidth.
Not to mention better battery life on VR sets.
Its future for sure, but not 2023

Hilarious how non-Americans think they’re being clever or unique making comments about “foot” ball and/or how they don’t care for it. 😂😂😂

Apple won’t be taken serious in the sport of “soccer” until they dominate the European leagues

    • dandalo

      February 11, 2023 at 10:30 pm

I don’t think overseas are in there plans. In Europe you have too much rights and laws.

In New Zealand we are bound by 2 sports streaming apps, services, Sky Sport Now & Spark Sport with the later looking to finish in near future leaving for sports streaming to be once again, some what entirely produced by Sky Sport NZ 😅 which as a consumer is good having all the sports you watch an follow in one place, subscription 👈
