    • JCal

      November 18, 2021 at 12:09 am

you can, but due to Apple’s policy, you will void your warranty. This whole thing is a positive move since it gives people everything they need to repair (not using shady tools or manuals).

You can, just like you can repair your own car, your own plumbing, your own roof. Do you wanna? Are you capable? Well that’s up to you!

Apple is definitely moving to the right directions and Apple has always been listening to their customers and now they are delivery everything their customers asked. Apple will take over the smartphones sales per unit market share from Samsung and other android smartphones manufacturers, that is the future Apple is heading to and they will succeed.

What makes the hardest part of the repairs is the BS in regards to the software locks they put on parts, batteries and replacement screens, etc

  22. Sla V

    November 18, 2021 at 12:50 am

Apple said hmm I don’t have to pay employees to fix phones? I can cut down that cost. Charge the consumer authorized repair shop prices of tools and hardware. Well sounds like easy money to us. Also there’s a lot more consumers than even apple repair stores or authorized repair stores. The amount of hardware apple will move is crazy. When it’s a business it’s never a benefit for the consumer.

  23. FormulaWill

It’s a scheme to sell us on these useless extended warranties ???? once we know what the single tools cost and how complicated it is to repair one’s phone, we’ll be happy to pay extra for not having to deal with it all!

It’s so funny some people appreciate Apple for “allowing” all this. Sober up. Apple’d never allow any of this. They are forced to make this move, to “compete” in a business that was always a monopoly for them.
