I have several Apple products, but Apple isn’t playing with a full deck when Amazon Alexa dot 4th gen is $50(actually got mine for free)

Don’t see why it wouldn’t support thread when the HomePod mini and appletv 4k supports thread matter. It’s clear that this is where they are going with newer devices. At this stage, I don’t even think there should be a question mark on the subject. Personally I’ll stick to Sonos but each to his own.

Wasn’t WWDC all about Apple’s software future, so new hardware isn’t expected to showcase? All these Youtube channels keep pimping “hardware rumors” for naught.

This is a classic case of hardware outperforming software. The HomePods sound amazing, that’s not the issue. If apple wants to succeed in the smart speaker space, they simply need to focus on Siri. Siri needs a major overhaul and greater reliability. If they can solve that, I think they’ll have a winner.

my original homepod sounds great… the only issue is sometimes the connection/siri interface is glitchy. never understood why because generally that is not something apple struggles with. It has a very full multi-speaker surround-ish sound in a very small form factor.

I have a pair of the Minis and they make really good speakers for my Apple TV. What I’d like to see with a full-sized HomePod is that it’s integrated better with the minis to make a true surround sound system. So, I see it this way. They price it at $200-$250 and then send a bundle of 2 Minis and 1 HomePod for $400. Another thought I had was that they could combine it with the Apple TV and make it the hub for the smart home system that also acts like a surround sound system with the minis. They could probably charge $450 for this.

The fact that HomePod can’t use Spotify is what make it worthless, so like the rest of the previous HomePods they won’t sell as long as they integrate with Spotify which most music listeners have.

Whatever HomePod that may be released, I hope Apple sort out/improve Siri on it. Drives me nuts when you ask the HomePod something and it says “I’ll send the results to your iPhone”.

Yes I wanted Apple to bring back the original HomePod with a cheaper prices it doesn’t need to be big like the original HomePod but much smaller but not smaller like those minis i bought 4 minis still doesn’t sound good the way I wanted also I had 2 original HomePod they still sound freaking amazing. Apple please we need music bring HomePod back soon
