Tesla have for a long time been offering a Licensing model, but will only work with the largest vehicle manufactures. At the same time the largest manufacturers are waiting to see who has the best solution. Tesla rollout is now beginning to scale out so the next 6 months will sort winners and loosers.

No competitor will license from Tesla

The first half is true. I recall Elon telling half truths again years ago that they were far into advanced talks with their first partner. Rumors at the time was that it was with the Mercedss brand. If that was even true, well, we see now that they went in a different direction.

The second half of your statement is not happening. Tesla has been “beginning to scale” for years. Then it was since the Austin roll out a year ago. There has been no meaningful progress since. All of its advancements have been small PR and earnings call line items. Still waiting on the strong signal
