@ErikTheRed Yeah, they probably should just make a 6.5″ phone. The issue is that they don’t want to get too expensive with midrange parts and the phone would likely not be competitive with flagship parts.

Pixel is still niche and not a hot seller. They really should hang it up at this point. “Stock Android” is not a pull for anyone outside the tech bubble.

True although it is the 2nd best selling phone on amazon they didn’t do to badly with it. Its low cost and easy to use/ helpful software. Is a great appeal for people within the tech bubble. If they advertise the software a bit more to non tech people. It would probably be bigger hit. Plus they have good steadily increasing ecosystem I like the fact that the assistant comes natively so I don’t have to have a third party like alexa in order to control smart home things.

I honestly don’t get why the exterior design of a phone is so dang important. I am also legally blind so that might explain it. If the specs are awesome inside I don’t care what color it is or what material its made out of. If that means my phone is more cost effective, bonus!

Those aren’t the stereo speakers on the bottom of the case. On the 4a, one of them is the mic. The other speaker for stereo is at the top of the screen.

I understand why headphone jacks are apart of budget phones, but why are so people still so hooked on headphone jackets for premium devices. It’s 2021 now, I personally cannot stand cables. They always get tangled, and always get in the way when working out.
Wireless is the way to go.

I just don’t see the point of a 5a when the 4a 5G is already just a cut-down Pixel 5. They even have the same processor. How are they going to differentiate the two phones?

The pixel 5a should get a new mid range processor. It will simply naming because there might only be one a model. Still will be plastic and lack 90hz and water resistance likely

It would make sense every year to have a $499 phone, and a flagship later in the year, with an XL model. They likely delayed the 4a 5g a bunch, or didn’t want to put the pixel 5 name, because then less people would buy the ‘best’
