“Too many pixel problem?” Compared to what?

Bring back the XL. Come on 6XL. For those of us with vision impairment, anything smaller just doesn’t work.

      February 25, 2021 at 5:10 pm

@ErikTheRed Yeah, they probably should just make a 6.5″ phone. The issue is that they don’t want to get too expensive with midrange parts and the phone would likely not be competitive with flagship parts.

    • ErikTheRed

      February 25, 2021 at 5:26 pm

@Ari Bloch I believe you are correct. It’s a pricing market positioning problem. Though I personally would be willing to pay a premium for larger screen Pixel.

just make the UI bigger in settings.

    • ErikTheRed

      February 25, 2021 at 6:42 pm

@Jon Liska Yes. Already done. Would still like more real estate.

Pixel is still niche and not a hot seller. They really should hang it up at this point. “Stock Android” is not a pull for anyone outside the tech bubble.

True although it is the 2nd best selling phone on amazon they didn’t do to badly with it. Its low cost and easy to use/ helpful software. Is a great appeal for people within the tech bubble. If they advertise the software a bit more to non tech people. It would probably be bigger hit. Plus they have good steadily increasing ecosystem I like the fact that the assistant comes natively so I don’t have to have a third party like alexa in order to control smart home things.

I honestly don’t get why the exterior design of a phone is so dang important. I am also legally blind so that might explain it. If the specs are awesome inside I don’t care what color it is or what material its made out of. If that means my phone is more cost effective, bonus!

Can we just get a dimming flashlight feature? How in the world can Google still refuse to offer this in stock Android.

Those aren’t the stereo speakers on the bottom of the case. On the 4a, one of them is the mic. The other speaker for stereo is at the top of the screen.

How many ways can you change a rectangle with a touch screen??? It’s what’s inside that counts.

    Price?

I understand why headphone jacks are apart of budget phones, but why are so people still so hooked on headphone jackets for premium devices. It’s 2021 now, I personally cannot stand cables. They always get tangled, and always get in the way when working out.
Wireless is the way to go.

    XL for the win

Im on the 3a XL. Really hoping Google releases an XL model for this phone. Otherwise I’ll get the 4a5G

If you are going for Android, pixel is no brainer.

Hope it comes with a newer camera sensor

  16. Thelonius

    February 25, 2021 at 4:10 pm

I just don’t see the point of a 5a when the 4a 5G is already just a cut-down Pixel 5. They even have the same processor. How are they going to differentiate the two phones?

    • Ari Bloch

      February 25, 2021 at 4:56 pm

The pixel 5a should get a new mid range processor. It will simply naming because there might only be one a model. Still will be plastic and lack 90hz and water resistance likely

  17. Robert Robinson

    February 25, 2021 at 4:18 pm

    Pixel Fold?

  18. Ari Bloch

    February 25, 2021 at 4:54 pm

It would make sense every year to have a $499 phone, and a flagship later in the year, with an XL model. They likely delayed the 4a 5g a bunch, or didn’t want to put the pixel 5 name, because then less people would buy the ‘best’

    PIXEL ALL DAY, EERR DAY!!!!

  22. Michael Stanton

    February 25, 2021 at 7:45 pm

They better make a full flagship version. Hopefully with an SD888

  23. Asad Ullah

    February 25, 2021 at 8:39 pm

Should’ve move finger print sensor to power button

  24. mert ER

    February 25, 2021 at 10:36 pm

Nothing special. Google should bring a flagship phone with min 6.5 inch, best qualcom cpu and great storage memory ! Pixel 5 failed !

    February 26, 2021 at 1:28 am

I was a fan … Of the pixels … I’m on a samsung s21 ultra now I need luxury and not a budget flagship ….. no thank you hunteey ????

As an owner of a google pixel 5 (first time with pixel)

It’s definitely a meh phone. Nothing exotic, so I ain’t probably ever getting a future variant ever again

such a great and new design i love it :)))
