So here is the reality regarding battery life on the Watch 8 40 mm : You have to charge every evening and don’t wear it while sleeping, otherwise you won’t make it from 6am to 9pm.

Have an ultra and a 5 pro. Thinking 2 ultras might last longer although 3 days on my older ultra is not happening.

whats the hype about bezel. so what if i have to use my finger to scroll rather than the bezel. you guys act like a kid in candy shop. its 25th century, sooner or later you will have to get rid of the bottons too and just talk to the watch 😅

Thank you for this great review. I just want to make a suggestion. I hope that future reviews like this would also include a section addressing how the measurements we are getting from the galaxy wearables compare to conventional devices (HR monitoring etc). In general, after owning several galaxy devices, it seems that Samsung lags behind when it comes to accuracy compared to others on the market. Personally I love Samsung products but I don’t think that they should get away with adding a bunch of new health features that may not be accurate. I really wish folks would address this because if you are wearing a device that is supposed to give you more insight into your health I would appreciate if it was giving me readings that are closer to the real value. Thank you!

I have a Garmin, I still put it on a charger every night lol. Takes like two seconds. You guys aren’t going into the great unknown where you’re away from an outlet 😂 I’d take being free from my phone on a run or biking session any day. Have fun with your $1000+ watch with mediocre sensors.

I can’t see why battery life is so critical on these watches, even on an older Apple Watch model I only drop it on the charger for an hour and change a day usually, and that’s all I need… to me any more than 24 hour battery life is unnecessary, you’re still going to need to charge to get through the second day 😂

I have the Ultra from last year and really love my old classic with the bezel and like that they came out with the classic again this year. I want to switch the the new classic but keep hearing why would I downgrade from the Ultra to the classic. To be honest outside of the face being bigger I don’t see the difference between the classic and Ultra from last year.

Great video.
I never liked the rotating bezel. Too easy to bump it by accident but i do like the look of the classic. Ideally for me id wish the Ultra came in just a Bluetooth option as it would cut the cost and i dont really need LTE. This being said i much prefer the Ultra and £7.50 a month to use the LTE isnt too much.

If you’re older and can’t really figure out a smartwatch then yeah, get a mechanical watch. If you’re able to use both, switch them as need be. For working out and traveling, smartwatches, if used properly are very useful.

Using a watch 4 classic (the smaller one), i always bump its face on walls, tables, and other furniture, and it’s still alive and kicking. No, i wouldn’t want the watch 8… 😢

When comparing battery life you said you got a full 3 days of use from the ultra. What does that mean? A full 72 hours? Why do we get detailed info on the battery life of the 8 and 8 classic but a generalized figure for the ultra? If the point of this video is to compare them all measurements/specs should be in the same figures at the very least.
You also completely failed to mention anything even remotely related to the SOC. No performance specs, no mention of RAM amounts, nothing.
This comparison is really garbage and only exists to push your affiliate links…

What a terrible review not even comparing this years classic to the LAST classic which was the 6. Also never mentioned that the screen was smaller than the 6 classic. And even though she wants the 8 classic (because it’s obviously the best one this year) she chooses the worst, smallest one??!? Wtf is wrong with CNET these days. Keep in mind. Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) isn’t expected to change much more than Last year.
But this year. I gave to Galaxy Watch 8 Classic the best Android smartwatch in 2025 only downside is that the Battery isn’t too long and Water resistance is weaker than the Watch Ultra.

Just watch out if you ordered through Samsung with the trade in credit. I’m seeing alot of reports that people are sending in trade in watches and then getting screwed out of the trade in money because Samsung is claiming the watch is too defective and charging people full price for the new watch. 😮
