That’s how I know if it’s a good movie. If I never asked myself: “What time is it? How close are we to the end?” It’s rare that I get away with it.

I’ll never forget my first time watching Roma.
It was a group call in preparations for the Oscars, 6-8 people. In the beginning, we were still kind of joking around, making occasional remarks, explaining stuff, sharing opinions. Then the student protest scene hits and suddenly, within the span of 3 minutes, total silence. Never have I seen a group of people been so quickly so glued to a screen, become so somber so quickly.
He’s a masterful director is what I’m saying.

Have to commend the interviewer here. Great job. Great conversation and questions. Really knows the topic and shows respect to the person they are interviewing without pandering. Just, really well done interview. Highly enjoyable.

Funny how he was talking about time passing by without you noticing (when you watch a good movie/show) and that’s _exactly_ how I felt watching this interview. ¡Te adoro, Cuarón!

He gave us the best Harry Potter film, but Children of Men is one of the greatest achievements in cinema imo
@aoterou

He said uniting his own films is a limitation, however I saw very obvious references to his previous movies in Roma like a pregnant woman in a car escaping chaos, astronauts floating in space, a road trip to the beach (Children of Men, Gravity, Y tu mamá también in that order)…
@BethelHabte

Cinematic genius. This guy knows how to capture the perfect essence and the aesthetic for a story on screen, and keeps you hooked. One of the G.O.A.T.
