For the past decade China has banned FB, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Instagram, WhatsApp, Reddit, Telegram, SnapChat etc., which is a serious violation to WTO rules, so tell me why should we not reciprocate? At the minimum a ban on TikTok would be a great leverage for future trade negotiations to force China lift their ban.

I am more concerned with the information they are feeding us. They can dramatically influence our personal views by only serving us content that fits their views and slowly over time influencing our populous

This FCC commissioner is as sharp as a razor. He has great ideas and make me hopeful that the government will take proper action with respect to TikTok and free speech protection online.

    TikTok should be banned.
How is it that China bans all US platforms and we allow China to advertise here? Specifically Joe Biden wants to allow tiktok.
What deal does Biden have with China?

Can we also ban companies from gathering our data too like meta/Facebook?? Facebook lobbies people to talk bad about tiktok to get them to ban so that they won’t have competition. Tiktok gathering our data is bad but Facebook has been doing it way long before Tiktok and see the toxicity they created?
