I think I know why people ask about Weezer being demonic, since they rose to fame fairly quickly compared to other bands. So maybe they sold their souls, or they are industry plants. Or their music is just simply good.

I think one reason this still totally works is the sort of angle they have. The songs are really great and i really love them! But if they were cool guys trying to act cool it wouldn’t have stood out so much? But the rock but nerds/losers thing was probably awesome when they were young, and now they totally own the growing older thing and it actually really matches with that aestethic, i saw them live last year and they totally won me over😂 i’ve been listening to them a lot, great band❤ so much heart and humor and attitude (because secretly they’re cool af)

I’ve been a “weezoid”…ha..since 94. Seen them 17 times and taking my son who is almoat 13 to his first show in NY, it really is such a cool thing to have a generational interest together.
