Why not start it at 128gb storage?

They’re expensive. Let’s see next year what Apple does with the iPad lineup. They work almost exactly the same as they are now. I think on the ones with the M series chips that are found in MacBooks, it should be running pro apps on it. Maybe since it has all of that space and they’re marketing shooting cinema quality videos and ProRaw photos, maybe toss in a full frame sensor on it too and have interchangeable lenses just like on something like a RED camera. Software is there, hardware isn’t. It’ll crop like crazy with that tiny sensor that’s on this device.

Simplified: The iPad regular is essentially a giant iPhone 12. Take that however you will.

I’m excited to get the iPad Pro. This year enticed me to finally get one.

Will the keyboard folio work with the ninth gen iPad?

  8. STOCKacts

    October 24, 2022 at 6:59 pm

I bought the 9th gen last year when they released it for my 2 year old son. No reason for me to upgrade to the 10th gen.

Nice, I’m going to ask my brother to buy it for me this Christmas the iPad 10 is unfortunately out of my budget unfortunately.

      October 24, 2022 at 7:59 pm

@123the prodigy the 9th gen is more than enough iPad for anyone. You won’t be disappointed.

@STOCKacts hopefully the A13 Bionic still has plenty of gas left in the tank. period I want to keep that iPad for at least five years.

I feel the same about the camera. I might trade in my iPad Pro 2020 just to get a landscape camera for work meetings so it looks like I’m looking at the person instead of looking to the side 😅

why ipads always get the updates i don’t understand this. I’m sticking to my 7th gen ipad till it stop receiving updates other than that not thinking about upgrading it

  12. Marciap17

    October 24, 2022 at 8:02 pm

I ordered the iPad 10th Gen (256GB) with its matching Smart Folio. That’s it. I like the position of the front camera and that it has Centre Stage. And certainly the overall tech is superior to my current model.
I am replacing an iPad Pro 2018-9 as it is not updating to iOS 16, I don’t like its magnetic pencil, and the super heavy magic keyboard. They all looked beautiful together, but it was almost as carrying a MacBook Pro. Not getting much for their sale but it certainly helps to cover for some of the cost of the new iPad.

idk why apple ever thought putting the camera on the short side of the all screen design was an acceptable idea

    • Alex Iglesias

      October 25, 2022 at 12:11 am

It made sense when the iPad launched but the second they launched the symmetrical bezel iPad Pro in 2018 that should have prompted the switch. Almost nobody takes video calls in portrait mode.

Ipad air 4th generation is a better deal

  18. Mantu Mapan

    October 24, 2022 at 10:37 pm

They are pushing you to buy the pro. 64 GB is not enough, then 256 GB price is close to the air. If you buy the air with accessories, the price is close to the pro. Then you will push your budget to the pro

  19. ucruci2

    October 24, 2022 at 10:39 pm

I don’t know why one should be tied down to older expensive gen 1 Apple Pencil. There are now so many 3rd party options that are cheaper.

25% increase on the pro ipad in uk £1250 sorry Apple am out. Just got a brand new Samsung tab s8 Ultra for £500 direct from Samsung. Am sure lots of other people in UK and Europe will vote with their wallets too.

  21. John117

    October 24, 2022 at 10:51 pm

Apple pricing is just idiotic. A 256gb ipad air costs $750 but a 128gb ipad PRO costs $799. Chances are 128gb wont make much of a difference for most…

  22. Anthony Vallejo

    October 24, 2022 at 11:00 pm

Apple really dropped the ball here. They r so out of touch with its costumers now. A lot of people benefitted from getting a new redesigned entry model iPad. Instead made it over $100 more expensive!!!! Not to mention the moronic move of not letting the Apple Pencil 2 work with the new entry iPad instead the old lightning pencil that now needs a dongle to charge thru the iPad. I mean what happened to being GREEN??? I mean thats the lame excuse they gave us when they stopped shipping CHARGERS on iPhones. I guess what they meant about going GREEN was more about going GREED!!!

Apple need to calm down. Too many damn iPad to choose from. Make 2 a year that’s it, one big and small.

  28. mofosoto

    October 25, 2022 at 3:10 am

Apple has gone full identity crisis on all their products. iPads, iPhones and MacBooks. Unless you’re buying the largest screen Pro models, you’re getting the shaft on something. Except the iPhones, you’re just getting hosed on camera zoom, reverse charging, USB-C, TouchID. I would’ve bought the iPad Pro 11″ when it came out if it had the miniLED screen, and I would’ve bought it now if they kept the M! and only upgraded the screen. Makes more sense to have the brighter screen on the more portable version. Looks like I’m in the market for a deal on an M1 Pro and it’ll hold me over until they make it right. Maybe by then it’ll be the cheaper Air with an M2 or later M3 and miniLEd ProMotion and cheaper storage options. Actually, at that point the iPad Mini will be the best tablet they make. The chip in the next Mini will be the M1 or more powerful A17. Or they’ll sneak in a 2023 Mini with the A16 so they can lie about why it doesn’t have Stage Manager.

Wow I really felt like you was talking to me crazy, you did really good! I want one to watch movies and stuff but for the best display and speakers I really have to spend 1k on that iPad? Wtf that’s ridiculous.

Didn’t Apple excoriate microsoft, many years ago, over what Apple felt was the silly design of both the keyboard and kickstand of the Microsoft surface? I find it ironic that Apple’s new keyboard folio case makes the latest iPad look exactly like a Microsoft surface? The same Microsoft surface that Apple made merciless fun of years ago.

  35. Obi Bren Benobi

9 th Gen. iPad is great beside the fact that the speakers are only on one side…

If that wasn’t the case I might have already gotten one:/

  36. Monica McCarthy

    October 25, 2022 at 5:51 am

I just don’t see any use for a tablet in my life, anymore. I bought the 14 pro max and watch ultra. I also have a MacBook air. I like using a laptop with a keyboard that can actually sit on my lap, and NO kick stand. I have not purchased a tablet in 10 years, and I just don’t think I’ll need one.

  37. Chris

    October 25, 2022 at 6:45 am

I have been rocking the iPad Pro for years with my magflott stand and it’s been great. The iPad 10th gen looks interesting, wish those colors came to the pros and the kickstand bc sometime I just need it to be propped up without the keyboard bulk.

I’m still waiting for the 11 inch pro model to have a landscape camera and mini led screen, that would be my dream iPad.

  39. Paul Maine

    October 25, 2022 at 7:57 am

£499 in the uk, no thanks, surely you may as well get a MacBook Air by the time you increase storage and buy a keyboard etc, 😳

  41. Tariq

    October 25, 2022 at 11:20 am

    iPad 9 should be discontinued.
iPad 10 should be the first level iPad, and priced $50 or so lower.

  42. Arien Van Stralen

    October 25, 2022 at 12:55 pm

Looks like apple took notes from the Logitech combo touch and updated their keyboard case, and yet it’s still not as good as the Logitech one. I did my research last year when I got the 11inch pro as I’m a graphic artist and the Logitech case makes it 10x better. Cheaper and better! Apple does this thing where they release things later and pretend they came up with it and call it innovation. Still, the apple pencil 2 with the 21 iPad pro is a creatives dream. It took a lot to push me to get my first apple product but I really did buy in at the right time.
