In a virtual event Aug. 5, Samsung released a small army of new products, including an in-depth tease of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 complete with an appearance by the group BTS. But it’s the new Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra that really caught our eye. As Samsung rattled off the list — a short novel’s length — of new features for each phone, we longed to see some of them come to the next iPhone, which might be the heavily rumored iPhone 12.

There are five features in particular that we think Apple should consider adopting. That said, we know that Samsung loves to cram in as many new features as possible into its phones, whereas Apple adds new features to solve a problem or improve the user experience. That difference is significant.

Products featured in the video:
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra:
Samsung Galaxy Note 20:
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra:

CNET may get a share of revenue from the sale of the products linked above.

This is such a useless and stupid list. Goes to show you why CNET is no longer relative in the tech space.

Will it be fair if I told you to add six packs abs to your frame? Obviously that’ll be so insulting cos you’re not built like that.. iPhone is not Samsung.

I don’t think that getting a DSRL into an iPhone will be a need. It is a phone. You need reliability. And that the iPhone.

I really want an Apple Pencil mini with a port to store it in, like the Note series. Not only would it make it much easier to sign stuff, but it would help greatly in keeping the screen clean of smudges. Also, if they can replicate the ability to control the camera using the stylus, it would allow me to use it as a remote to take pictures.

Galaxy S20 Ultra has either 120Hz or 60Hz locked refresh rate while Note 20 Ultra has adaptive refresh rate that varies between 60Hz and 120Hz. Or you can lock it at 60Hz.

???????????? Sorry, laughable gimmicks are more a Samsung thing, which explains why their phones tank, if not recalled. Just look at the poor quality of the now 50x zoom and Makeup Mode. As for Gorilla Glass on the Note 20 so-called Ultra, we all remember how easy it broke on the S20 Ultra even with a screen protector on it, unlike the custom glass iPhone 11 Pro. ????????

  50. Fred Mills

    August 14, 2020 at 12:04 am

The BIG issue I have… is that Apple can do NONE of these things and not be held or criticized as I see Samsung is.
