that’s crazy that Zack has never seen the Whedon version of Justice League.

    • @StarQueenEstrella

      April 16, 2024 at 5:32 pm

Apparently friends and family advised him not to, citing that it would be “disappointing” to him

    • @Syryu

      April 16, 2024 at 6:21 pm

His wife and Nolan implored him not to see it. I think he was on a Reddit AMA and someone was describing the Wheedon cut to him and he was completely baffled by it.

    • @Arcessitor

      April 16, 2024 at 7:11 pm

@@Syryu I can’t find any Reddit AMA. Just a bunch of requests for it.

  5. @pkfreeze175

    April 16, 2024 at 5:16 pm

It’s especially good for him to not read reviews because most of his films are mid and get harshly critiqued and criticized online.

I don’t love most of his movies, but he seems like a very down to earth guy who knows what he wants and just goes for it. I have to respect that

slo mo is extremely O V E R DONE and even extreme SLO MO…i get what hes saying about capturing and appreciate the composition but moderation dude.

slo mo is to Zach Snyder what lens flare is to JJ abrams

  29. @jtodaro

    April 17, 2024 at 7:01 am

I love how him shooting Justice League in 4:3 kinda screwed over the studio and Joss Whedon’s theatrical cut when editing it. They had to zoom in most of the battle scenes and shoot almost an hour of additional footage to make their terrible movie.

  30. @thatfilmydesaikid

    April 17, 2024 at 7:07 am

Oh my god 😂😂😂 I was going to comment “Whoever did the subtitles should’ve known better that aspect ratios are written with a colon or period. He said 1-4-3 but in writing it would’ve been 1.43.” (which still doesn’t make sense coz it’s 4:3 or 1.33:1 but anyway) And timestamp for it caught me off-guard. It’s at 2:14 😆🤣 iykyk

  31. @DavidRamirez-vc8dr

    April 17, 2024 at 7:21 am

Why are all your movies so terrible?

  32. @0k0sMrHazard

    April 17, 2024 at 7:44 am

Might as well have had Michael Bay on…

  33. @pokotheclown

    April 17, 2024 at 8:19 am

When you need to keep making a synder cut, you should really rethink your career or in his case.. retire.

  34. @daniel_bartosiewicz

    April 17, 2024 at 8:27 am

Slow-mo in Rebel Moon.. there was just too much of it.

Also, how is it possible, that with all the audience check and feedback some movies are released as a piece of junk?

  35. @thatsmyboye

    April 17, 2024 at 8:58 am

“There used to be a thing called DVDs” ah geez

  36. @Neophlegm

  39. @giuliani3570

    April 17, 2024 at 9:49 am

They should have asked “Since most comic book movies are boring and dumb, do you hate doing them?

  40. @niccolorichter1488

    April 17, 2024 at 10:21 am

he really should stick to being just a director and had someone else write scripts

  43. @caskinfg

    April 17, 2024 at 10:48 am

“Why is there so much slow-mo, Zack?” “Because slow-mo is awesome” is the most Zack Snyder answer he could have possibly given

  44. @kalenen

    April 17, 2024 at 10:53 am

The aspect ratio for just ice league angered me so much. it ruined the experience

i want edgar wright for this pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease

  50. @vulpixelful

    April 17, 2024 at 7:13 pm

  59. @garethhughes7430

    April 18, 2024 at 5:13 am

The “heroic slow mo” in rebel moon just makes it clear that the main characters special skill is just not being shot at.

  60. @AstaIsAMonster

    April 18, 2024 at 5:24 am

❤️ Zack Snyder movies and seems like a cool guy.
I can’t wait for Rebel Moon Part on the 11th.🙌🏽

  61. @bonxaiskateco3002

    April 18, 2024 at 6:43 am

Despite his flaws as a storyteller he is a technical genius! I do love his films but i go for visual spectacle not any character driven story telling. Theres plenty of other options for that style of film if that’s what your after. Snyder doesn’t deserve the hate he gets.

  62. @TheUselessJ

    April 18, 2024 at 8:26 am

Zach Snyder having forearm tattoos, was something I wasn’t expecting, but at the same time is the least surprising thing I learned in a while.

  63. @tld1357

    April 18, 2024 at 8:44 am

Why did I get the 4:3 snyder cut of this video

  64. @LordAsturgis

    April 18, 2024 at 9:26 am

This was x10 better than Rebel Moon, I can tell you that much.

  65. @AlessandroFilippiUX

    April 18, 2024 at 9:33 am

I like this guy. Is a very talented producer. As long as he doesn’t write the script. A guy like him cannot have total control because he seems to now know the limits of his considerable talent. Needs to co-create with people that have leverage and can tell him no when that is necessary. Case in point: Rebel Moon. Oh boy.

  66. @checotey

    April 18, 2024 at 9:54 am

the first question does not make any sense at all. why would you ask that😂

  67. @artietheonemanparty

The most misunderstood artist of our time. He is an auteur. Go watch 300 and Dawn of the Dead, they are amazing! Watchmen and Justice League are great too.

  68. @nuzulhasidie

    April 18, 2024 at 11:31 am

This is the first time I watch Zack Snyder talking and I have to say he reminds me a lot of John Cena. Like he looks like a slim version of Cena

  73. @monsterswampstudios

    April 18, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Zack Snyder saying he’s never seen Josstice league is both an understandably heartbreaking statement and a devastating sneak diss towards that cut of the movie.

  74. @yotaruvegeta

    April 18, 2024 at 5:23 pm

I like Snyder’s enthusiasm. I’m just going to go positive with this.

  78. @badhollywoodscience

    April 19, 2024 at 12:41 pm

  79. @misron1098

Zack Snyder is a really good story maker and a good director too

  80. @superblondeDotOrg

    April 19, 2024 at 3:39 pm

Why do your movies have so much fighting. That is tired, overdone, and regressive. Time for humanity to move forward. Enough with the fight-fight-fight scripts. Write something higher.

  81. @heavybattle6650

    April 19, 2024 at 4:19 pm

I wanna know how HIS films are getting funding??

  82. @DaelinD

    April 19, 2024 at 4:45 pm

Whenever I see Zack Snyder, and of course any of his films, I just think to myself, this man should really be a cinematographer and not a director. The guy is clearly fascinated by the visual aspects of movies and he genuinely has a lot of talent for creating images. But he also does not know how to tell a story.

  83. @JamesAcosta1350

    April 19, 2024 at 5:27 pm

Zack is not a director. He’s an artist.

  84. @theindexfinger3434

    April 19, 2024 at 6:04 pm

I think the question was “How YOUR films get funding?” someone should stop him wasting more money and our time.

  85. @Ekhin

    April 20, 2024 at 2:55 am

You know maybe now that I think of it maybe he could’ve used some more reception for rebel moon

  86. @ramteja1550

    April 20, 2024 at 5:48 am

Behold, the character who ruined superman and Batman and changed them for “modern audience” and doesn’t believe in the concept of good heroes existing in a corrupt world.

I knew the answer to that question before he gave it and I HOPED I was wrong but he said exactly what I thought he said cuz this dude is getting unbearably predictable as are his movies. Super boring

  100. @UncleMarty

    April 20, 2024 at 11:35 am

The average Snyder movie is actually only 4 minutes long if you play all the slow motion bits at normal speed.

  101. @joshualeafe3230

    April 20, 2024 at 11:58 am

    Slow motion farming isn’t exciting

  102. @_ayoung

    April 20, 2024 at 12:08 pm

Snyder makes stunning films, which is why it frustrates me when his characters start talking.

But he sounds like he, his cast and crew have a blast making his films – so kudos to him.

  103. @Baldosaurus

    April 20, 2024 at 12:52 pm

  105. @LukeChristodoulou

    April 20, 2024 at 4:02 pm

Zack may produce some terrible films and have brain-dead opinions about Batman but he really does love what he does, it’s impossible to hate him.

  106. @kubolor1234

    April 20, 2024 at 6:00 pm

Is it motivated by story thoooooough?

  107. @glubysnot6152

    April 20, 2024 at 6:07 pm

I like slow motion, I do think it adds to the embellishment of heroic moments that heroes go through… but the AMOUNT of slow motion in the first moon that is the problem. It was offensive

  108. @berighteous

    April 20, 2024 at 8:23 pm

What does this guy know about filmmaking?

  109. @hopefullynotbutprobably6643

    April 20, 2024 at 10:14 pm

Congrats on Rebel Moon 2 getting a 13% RT score, Zack 😂

  110. @martinwinter615

    April 20, 2024 at 11:59 pm

proves again how dumb Snyder is. Slow motions are a tool to underline a scene not just without any meaning cause if you do it over and over again it becomes meaningless and just drags.

  111. @jimgraves2229

    April 21, 2024 at 1:15 am

Why are you getting worse at directing movies? The last three have been terrible

  112. @kim87351

    April 21, 2024 at 1:51 am

Why justice leage graphics looks like black and white

  113. @DBringmann

    April 21, 2024 at 2:32 am

ok so slo-mo focus on heroic moments in action scenes, but there is a guy filling his water bottle and the scene is in slowmotion…wtf??

    • @PBurns-ng3gw

      April 21, 2024 at 8:42 am

I really appreciated the slow-motion scenes of them harvesting grain, it really makes you stop and think, “Wow, that’s some heroic agriculture they’re doing.”

Zack Snyder makes dogshit movies and should never be hired to make a movie ever again.

  121. @amaan7914

    April 21, 2024 at 11:46 am

Sometimes I feel Justice league Snyder’s cut has an upper hand over ‘The Avengers’. The character building, Story telling, Music and of course Super man in black suit and Martian manhunter appearance.
I wish I could watch it in Imax .

This guy along with Jar Jar Abrams are the two biggest hacks in Hollywood today. They both fail upwards in the business.

    April 21, 2024 at 3:55 pm

Did y’all really ask Zack Snyder why there was so much slow-mo?!!😂😂😂😂

Watch ANY film of his and you’ll get your answer lol. (Cough…300)

    April 21, 2024 at 4:32 pm

Greatest director; he’s up there with the Nolans’ and Shyamalans of the world. Albeit, Snyder has the coolest directing style, can’t wait to see how his Rebel Moon game will look like.

  139. @thejason347

Are there really people that care about the ratio of the screen? Seems like such a boring thing to care about.

    • @pats3212

      April 25, 2024 at 9:01 pm

Yes because if you dont care about it you end up like Michael Bay or even Christopher Nolan in TDKR

  140. @jamesshugart702

    April 22, 2024 at 1:16 pm

love Zach Snyder and loved this interview, thanks!

  141. @supermoviegeeks7251

    April 22, 2024 at 3:40 pm

So he acknowledged that without the “fandom” the JL director’s cut would have never been released. Yet, he refuses to listen for feedback outside of his focus groups and test audiences. 🤦‍♂️ His films used to be entertaining.

  142. @joshuadrew5223

    April 22, 2024 at 3:51 pm

“he’s just a great dude” yeah. Doesn’t make his movies any good nor make his dialogue not schlock.

  143. @hundredvail

    April 22, 2024 at 5:56 pm

    Dogshit director

  144. @josezapata4237

    April 22, 2024 at 7:19 pm

Zack Snyder: hey guys don’t watch the first version of the movie it’s lame and it’s missing so much stuff that it won’t make sense wait for the directors cut coming soon I promise it’ll be better😂😂😂😂😂
Said no other filmmaker ever in the history of films. Dudes a joke.

  145. @akimtu9523

    April 22, 2024 at 9:24 pm

no one ask for the snyder cut…it was him self that payed a marketing company…so you are the only fan..

    • @PowerdyGuitar

      April 23, 2024 at 11:59 am

not really… many people were asking for it including the stars of the movie.

    • @pats3212

      April 25, 2024 at 9:00 pm

@@PowerdyGuitar He means Snyder financed the movement with a bot company, this was discovered by Rolling Stone last year

  146. @josedias5978

    I like this video

  147. @TheDarkrebel131

    April 23, 2024 at 10:11 am

I feel like he makes a horrible version of his movies so he can released a less horrible movie and say it’s good In comparison 😭💁‍♀️

Oh please a part three of REBEL MOON PLEASEEEEEE!!!!!! THIS HAS A GOOD BACKSTORY.

    April 23, 2024 at 2:47 pm

    My favourite director

  150. @vtmuslim

    April 23, 2024 at 2:53 pm

If you want to kill a movie, hire Zack Snyder. He has this incredible talent for directing full length movies without any shred of emotion or character. This man is for real.

  151. @MetalGamer666

    April 23, 2024 at 6:58 pm

So why are there so many slow motion scenes of farming? That just makes people fall asleep.

  152. @kurukokoko6453

    April 23, 2024 at 8:35 pm

why did you try to copy Seven samurai? yet you failed miserably

  153. @jamesknight3134

    April 23, 2024 at 8:40 pm

But…….the over-using of slow-mo is making the story-telling painfully slow.

  154. @slaskero01

    April 23, 2024 at 9:41 pm

Having zack snyder be your official “filmmaking support” guy is like having air bud be your “basketball support” guy

  155. @erikdavis1646

    April 24, 2024 at 12:49 am

Why all the slow motion? Because he is currently a terrible director who has to pad the runtime and has the mentality of a 5-year-old who thinks he has to add every “cool” thing to him as often as possible no matter how negatively it impacts the material. I’m waiting for him to just release a 100% slow-mo 30-minute movie that is like 10 hours long because he thinks it is just “so cool.” Not saying he is entirely a terrible director (he has some great movies, after all), but the quality of his movies correlates inversely to the amount of slow-mo used in it.

    • @snmcfadden

      April 25, 2024 at 10:00 am

I wouldn’t say any of his movies are great. He has a few decent films

  156. @SirsasthNigam.

    April 24, 2024 at 6:33 am

Synder fans make Star Wars fans look like Neurodivergents-Th3Birdman

What is on that laptop’s display that is so green?

  158. @G59METH

    April 24, 2024 at 4:09 pm

I see more hate aimed towards Zack Snyder than pretty much any other person on Earth, okay you don’t like his movies, whatever… but how can you hate on such a nice guy ?

    • @pats3212

      April 25, 2024 at 8:59 pm

I think you need to go out more if you really think Snyder is the most hated man on Earth

  159. @CLPicasso

    April 25, 2024 at 4:44 am

If I was a director I’d want to be like Snyder dead azz 💀

  160. @snmcfadden

    April 25, 2024 at 10:03 am

He reminds of me of Ed Wood.

  161. @BDugg121

    April 25, 2024 at 5:41 pm

Why do people keep giving this walnut more money. Michael Bay is a fuckin sophisticated artist compared to him

    👍👍

  163. @pats3212

I like how both Zack and his fans are blissfully content with him being literally the Uwe Bowl of modern Hollywood
