What he’s saying makes a lot of sense… with increased AI more people without realistic employment options and a disillusionment that their world and the future belongs in hands of a shrinking group of elite and that they are irrelevant. He’s warning us that’s how it could go in the hope of avoiding this.. It’s the Pareto distribution that Jordan Peterson describes almost as a natural law, power and wealth ultimately concentrating itself in a smaller and smaller group .

Yuval is insane. He is only right because he has written books on the same subject of the matter that was covered over 20 yrs ago. Which is how he had become schwabby’s love child in terms of their concepts, rules of life and cult following now. Protopianists/Secular Humanists in a nutshell is more like it. Isn’t it intersting how all of the sudden, a 30 yr considered to be “conspiracy that you should not at all entertain or concern yourselves with” is now becoming very quickly our reality? I mean my grandfather had these talks with me at 8 yrs old. Here I am 30 yrs old seeing all of what he described just synonymously as in the bible, into real life. And people STILL think that covid happening was nothing short of coincidence or climate change has gotten worse due to how much gas we accumulate throuhj vehicles, cow farts and NOW people 60 yrs and older who fart…on top of the growing pregnancy crisis being connected NOT to covid, which is heavily regsrded as the true issue due to sterilization, but becuase climate, covid and lack of technological advancement…
God’s word warned us well before these dehumanizers posing as “humanists” did. You guys should see the video where yuval discusses an AI that can teach your kids “what lifestlye choices” best suit them. The example he brings up is homosexuality. If a child a few yrs old thinks they are gay, their AI will comfort, console, and guide them on that path. Not out of it but into it thus, instant mental transition. Dude’s nuts. And of course the little bit of likes this video gets will be considered the epitomy of clout. I suggest people watch this with some serious personal bias because if you are not careful, you will be one step closer to thinking “humanely created ethical suicide” is ethical at all simply because “we just don’t need the vast amount of population because the future is about developing more and more sophisticated technology”- Yuval
As if that is truly an answer to such an ethically damning question. Which is to say, if you know that rapid implementations of such tech will disrupt everydat livelihoods, why do them at all or at least, why in our lifetime? Why not acale it priperly instead of saying and warning us that it won’t scale correctly at the speed it is being deployed? Especially upon the considerwtion of willingly being able/allowef or regulated to hack other humans. Now we get on the unethical conversation of “ethical termination”. Wherein billions of people’s “data” is unnecessary. If data is our existance as “simulacrum”, then why wouldn’t the logical explanation of this lead to space equivalence shortage types of outcry? In which, limited space means limited resources/data inputs for an unregulated/infantile AI that rruns the heart of cities, countries and nations.

Probably those are the ones not knowing where the world is heading, who probably feel that they are losing control and desperately want to retain that. Actually, the world is heading towards a convergence of ideologies where the beneficial things will be optimized and the drawbacks will gradually drop out. Some interesting topics were discussed here. I would like to add some notes.
There is a saying that if you can predict the behavior of an observed person, then the observed person has a lower IQ, which is probably referred here as “you hacked that person”, though this is not true. This only gives you a false perspective because what you see is not always what is actually happening. Just consider parallel universes when you can not see inside the other universe, you can only make assumptions based on the stuff you see on the event horizon of it. However, what you see is more probably what your mind interprets as its own projections, thus when the observer thinks he is superior it just turns out he miscalculated his equation and he just ends up with a self-analysis of his projections and fears. So, while this “hacking humans” ideology could work in cases of a generalized majority, it definitely will not stand for some smaller subset of humans.
Regarding the “trusting more the algorithm”, the issue is again similar to the previous example. The problem lies in the construct of the algorithm, as the algorithm will be only as good as its model, which was pre-defined at the design phase by its creator, even if it is the most sophisticated deep learning prodigy, still it will not grow beyond its design limits. While a human brain constantly learns over time and there you do not have the limits of the “model”. So, at the end of the day, a human brain can grow beyond any imagination to be more complex than any of your AI. What I mean by that is the deepness and not the accuracy. Thus there will be always some humans that will eventually end up being illegally constrained by some algorithms, and that is where human intervention will be needed, inevitably. If you plan such a algorithm-based future, consider that it will not live long enough. Still, as a generalized model for large-scale usage, it will definitely ease the burden of “computation time” for rule-based systems.

Here is the gist in a nutshell! TV has been central to the American lifestyle since I can remember, the early 1960s. We get all of our information, ideas, and dreams from the idiot box (I use the term lovingly). After 5 decades of watching programs that were targeted at the general population, there was a paradigm shift to cable TV after the turn of the century, with more options and almost unlimited programming. What that meant to each of us is that we now took control of our entertainment, education, and news. Rather than getting the news from the typical Big 3 Networks or ‘reliable’ sources, news began to be franchised, and thus it targeted different groups of people with different backgrounds, different hopes and dreams, and different cultural loyalties. It didn’t even have to be factual. It only had to be entertaining.
Then something happened that really opened the flood gates of diversity. The Internet and streaming. Cable News!
Now, people are loyal to whatever turns them on socially, mentally, and culturally! So, that diversity has led to a more divided group of TV watchers. Some watch FOX News and others watch CNN, MSNBC, or a plethora of offshoots that are cropping up every day. So, rather than have a unified approach to authentic NEWS, it has been replaced with FAKE NEWS.
That’s the new diversity designed to fit whatever you suppose yourself to be interested in. You used to have a broad choice to match your lifestyle. Now your choices have shrunk based on the cable news programs you watch.
It is culture run amok and it is a war on individuality. You now have to subscribe to a belief system, follow a messiah that wants to ‘save the country,’ or you go your own way and that in and of itself is a dead-end. You must be a part of a group or you are lost. In the broadest sense of the word, lost means that your opinions have no power. What happens to powerless people? You guessed it. They get trampled to death by The Mob!
Even if you claim to be independent in an election, there is no such thing, it’s delusional and you are doomed to obscurity. If you do not make a choice that is mainstream then your vote is erased. It won’t count. Independent candidates will not and cannot win due to the fact that they have no reliable base to support them. All they do is take votes away from the other legitimate candidates. Yes, I said legitimate!
In conclusion, the world is now run by whoever can muster the most fear and resentment of the opposition and claim that only they can save the world from potential doom.

i will propose alternativ on future jobs, a bit more optimistic. it is correct that future generations will need to reeducate more often in once life but we will have plenty jobs often simple in areas like: environment clean up and protection, service, health care, education, may be not simple jobs here, child care, elder care, maintenance buildings, roads, etc so i do not think ai and robots will be everywhere. thanks chris and yuval

Here is a quote from Marshall Vian Summers with a radical reinterpretation of what the future of our world needs from people. “The world is poor but you are not poor. This is to support an attitude of people who have stopped trying to improve their own personal lives. A kind of submitting to dumbing down. There are other ways of looking at life, that can continue improving ones life, if only to take power in some way that means something for oneself. Ie living off the grid totally, to be self reliant, and free to then find something that gives one power over more than getting off the grid.

The interviewer asked for an example of brain hacking. There is a form of brain hacking that is so effective and so common and so old that we hardly think of it as brain hacking. The average woman spends close to a quarter of a million dollars over her lifetime on makeup and the like, which hack the primitive parts of the brain to improve her perceived value as a mate. A guy might, for example, consider a woman with makeup/bra/stockings/heels/shapewear/etc. a 7 or 8 rather than a 5. The bra holds her breasts where they would be if she were a decade younger; eyelash extensions make her appear to have high levels of hormones necessary for fertility; heels make her ankles appear slimmer, another indicator of fertility hormones; foundation hides imperfections in her skin, making her appear to have a better immune system; eye shadow and lipstick hint at fertility; and so on. These manipulations are subconscious and have a significant impact, ramping up libidos and messing with the mating marketplace. Brain hacking at its best! 🙂

9:30 i think the best time in recent history is not early 21st century, but mid-20th century, post WW2.
– the environmental damage was not as extensive as it is today. an ecological catastrophe was not on anyone’s mind
– no overpopulation issue either
– families could depend on a single income. education and healthcare were a lot more affordable
– upward social mobility was common. in today’s society, one’s considered lucky if he/she is able to maintain his/her parents’ socio-economic status.
– there was no addiction issues among the youth. (it only started in 1970s with the hippie culture)
what progresses we have in 21st century have double edges:
– we are more connected to the whole humanity with the internet, but we are more isolated
– we earned much more than our parents (at least in numbers), but the majority of us are struggling to acquire what’s considered basic needs back then (like housing, raising a family and children, and giving them higher education)
– we live more comfortably, but burn way more energy
– we live longer, but being elders most of us will become a burden to society

Where did you get the information that backs up what you are saying? Is that a commonly accepted view of them facts? It’s about money but manly power that they are afraid to lose if people where to discover that they have been lied too about. Am I close? I think it’s some small group that wants to make sure that they have control of others but would be totally against it if someone flipped the narrative and they had to follow their own idealisms they want others to follow but will not have to abide by themselves.

Today there’s 8 billion precious humans with 80 million net new precious humans joining us annually. Since 90s the internet has connected every landmass. From comfort of your bed watch nearly every major city in the world in real time as folks start there day, go-to work, entertain. Watch African watering holes 24×7 as wild animals pass through. View unending live shots of fjords, sunsets, Himalayas. Globalization for all it’s ills has enabled nations with poor natural resources gain access to what’s needed while selling their goods around the world. Never in history has there been more educated folks, healthy folks. So what to do when handed a magic wand? End nation states madness, a once useful and recent development that’s outlived it’s usefulness. All four of our grandparents were born in 1880’s. Each couple had twelve children several of which died before their teens. By 1962 they had all died. They lived through horrific times born out of the worst aspects of the industrial revolution. Yet somehow humanity got on with civilization. They had few choices in life. Wealth concentration is a problem that goes beyond technology. Governments have been captured by the wealthy. Wealth is taxed at lower rates than labor. Governments give many benefits to large corporations that make it more difficult for small businesses to compete. Tax advantages, patents, infrastructure, etc.

The best thing would be to mass sterilise nations like Bangladesh, India and various African countries. It’s the humane way to resolve overpopulation problems. China’s ‘one child’ policy resolved overpopulation problems over there and now it’s under control – a similar approach is needed globally for underdeveloped countries. The alternative is mass starvation and chaos.

Harari envisions a world were if Granny is dying in a LTC home, AI will reassure her that the family is watching virtually but are not allowed to be by her side because of an algorithm that prohibits visits for (fill in the blanks) reasons. He thinks that humans will be known better by AI than they know themselves. This particular narrative takes away the possibility of talking to another human, discussing things such a books that have been read ( if allowed in this NWO). Wars, famine and world tension are scary things but this type of control is a thousand times more so. While still possible, I vote NO!

I’m an American woman and I’m 100% certain there has never been a better time or place to be a woman. We have never had such personal and political freedom and economic opportunities. All Western societies are liberal, they place a high value on personal freedom and equality of rights, universal franchise political participation, free trade and private property rights. These are the bases of Western liberalism, which grew from political reforms in Britain, later the UK. The opposite of liberalism is the Taliban, not gay marriage or abortion rights.

I know that if I do not have enough money to cover my basic needs I’m not worrying about meditating, I’m worried about managing to get enough money to survive. In some ways I think India, with all of its meditators, is a wonderful vision of the future where the few have nearly absolute power and the majority are barely getting by or maybe not even getting by.
