This is what I’ve been trying to tell people, I live in London and there is a complete blanket of problem where information is concerned because the Queen was so rich and she is dead and it’s going to be like that for ever , can you imagine what is going to happen to the UK economy now while our government does nothing because they have been hoping on the Queen

We are democratic in voting where our outreach serves community of San Antonio. We are multiracial and multigenerational. We all give the “5Ts” out of our abundance. We are not so much philanthropists but servants. E pluribus unam voce !

Accents aren’t easy to get rid of because of the way language is stored in the brain, is similar to muscle memory, this why there’s a lot of people who don’t loose their accent even after years of practice, for some brains it may be difficult and for some, impossible.

I stopped watching this video at the moment when it was mentioned about LGBT just because I almost got sick. Undoubtly, philantropy is a good way to make our world much better. However why on Earth I, an ordinary Russian guy, should take care about gays??? Following this logic if I am somehow extraordinary, all should support me? In Russia LGBT extension is prosecuted by the law and as for me that’s true.

While I easily get behind the emphasis on humanity and community, I can’t help but wonder if this system is fair, in terms of who gets the help. She gives percentages without a reference to compare them to, and seems to imply that the circles could make these percentages more fair, but I don’t see how without a centralized repartition of the donations.
It feels like a first step before giving that repartition role to a unified system, government or non-profit.

Giving circles are such an incredible way to create a community within a community, gather around a shared purpose, and facilitate “good” together. I joined a giving circle for the first time this year and am so inspired by my fellow members and the organizations we’re able to support financially. This is a beautiful and impassioned talk by the brilliant Sara Lomelin. I found this quote rather shocking, but in reality, it’s not that surprising unfortunately: 88% of philanthropic funding in the US goes to the top 5% of nonprofits. My favorite quote: “communities know what communities need.”

In a part of the United States with more than 17,000 years of human history, cultural preservation advocate Tracie Revis is working to turn the Ocmulgee Mounds into Georgia’s first national park and preserve. This park would be co-managed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, bringing the tribal voice back to an area they were forcibly removed from 200 years ago. Revis explores the complex feelings of caring for this land and shows how it’s fostering healing in return.
