This is a VERY STUPID video.

Apple wouldn’t release a ring because it will cannibalise Apple Watch market

  3. @alexanderminev

    March 15, 2024 at 11:34 am

It’ll probably take a lot of market share from the Apple Watch. I don’t think it’ll come this or even next year.

    Would you marry me?
Depends on what ring you’re proposing with.

  7. @Cubasil

    March 15, 2024 at 1:42 pm

You don’t need to activate sleep focus for apple watch to track your sleep. All you need to do is to setup the iphone a time to sleep and a time to wake up…. At weekends I just disable the alarm…

I hope the Apple Ring, or Watch, will soon unlock my Tesla.

“We need to keep stealing tech and claim all the credit. We’re Apple, that’s how we do”.

I have a Fitbit plus a Watch 9. I like the Fitbit for sleep because I don’t have to mess around with settings. And my sleep schedule could vary and hour or two each way, so the Apple requirement to set a schedule isn’t useful. But I judge that the Ring, along with Watch and sensors coming to the band, sensors in AirPods, and retinal scans coming to Vision Pro and Glasses will be an ecosystem for monitoring and diagnostics which will be central to moving from the current “sickcare” system to a true healthcare system that heads of ailments before they become serious, debilitating or deadly!

    March 15, 2024 at 4:24 pm

My in ear pods should do all of this. In ear is a perfect location for tracking health data

  15. @kflashner

Tech is intrusive, but this is just beyond my tolerance of intrusive.

  16. @shashankdegloorkar

I don’t think they will make it as it will reduce their Watch sales

I’ve yet to hear about a study that proves that wearing a smartwatch or ring markedly improves sleep. Seems gimmicky.

  21. @josephhall1049

    March 15, 2024 at 7:01 pm

What’s the point of sleep tracking? Will I get better sleep if my sleep is tracked?

  22. @cadenchurchill4296

    March 15, 2024 at 7:24 pm

Honestly, I think a smart ring would be the only way I’d ever do sleep tracking. I have an Apple Watch Series 8 but there’s no way I’m wearing that to bed.

  23. @elliottrogozinski

    March 15, 2024 at 8:52 pm

I use a Garmin watch. I had no idea it was that hard to get Apple Watch to track sleep. I love Apple but that’s just stupid.

  24. @DarenLee

    March 15, 2024 at 8:59 pm

    More suffe’ring’

  25. @adamm7020

    March 15, 2024 at 9:03 pm

Next Apple Earings, Apple pearls, Apple necktie band, Apple cummerbunds, Apple Suspender clips (which weigh your trousers (so necessary)), Apple stocking holders, and Apple shoelaces – and yes the Apple Buckle (which vibrates when a call comes in).

  26. @Music-vr7sz

    March 16, 2024 at 12:26 am

Apples version could be a lot different. Yeah by costing twice as much for half the features.

I’m wearing my Apple Watch Ultra since the launch every day and night.

  32. @johnwade7430

    March 16, 2024 at 6:04 am

Apple is never at the forefront of of tech – they let the dust settle and then bring out something that is better than its competitors. The same will happen here I expect.

  33. @1634aman

    March 16, 2024 at 8:32 am

Actually sleep focus is not needed, you could skip that step. Only turning the settings on and setting a schedule works for me.

  34. @tetchuma

    March 16, 2024 at 9:13 am

Are we sure that this device wont violate any patents like the last Apple Watch did?

  35. @prashalangovender7528

    March 16, 2024 at 9:14 am

If battery is what you want then get a Fitbit. These reasons for a ring don’t make sense

  36. @chuxx7335

    March 16, 2024 at 10:18 am

The problem for Apple/Samsung is, a ring will/may cannibalise the smart watch. I would love a ring in place of my Apple Watch to track my sleep.

  37. @TheManWithTwoWatches

    March 16, 2024 at 10:25 am

If sleep stages augment when multiple devices are worn, well then, I think I may have the most accurate sleep stages on Earth! This is what I still have on me after my seven-hour test last night:
    1. Ultrahuman Ring Air (bionic gold), right index
    2. Ultrahuman Ring Air (matte black), left index
    3. ŌURA Ring gen 3, (silver) right thumb
    4. ŌURA Ring gen 2, (black) right ring
    5. Circular Ring Slim (black) left thumb
    6. Circular Ring Pro (black) left index finger above my Ultrahuman Ring Air
    7. Garmin Instinct 2X solar (flame red) left wrist
    8. OnePlus Watch 2.0 (radiant steel) on my right wrist
Was it too much, yes! Was it uncomfortable, nope. But the 9th device was the Libre 3 glucose sensor in the back of my left bicep. I rolled over on my left side around 05:00 and felt a sharp pain. I have high hopes for the Amazfit Helio ring and hope I can just wear the ring and night and an Amazfit smartwatch. As for the Apple smart ring, who knows if it will be able to compete against the Finnish and their pride and joy, ŌURA Ring generation 4…?

  38. @dacemaric9677

    March 16, 2024 at 10:51 am

Anyone see that ring can butchered apple watch line… Use brain ppl!

  39. @torrhthc4103

    March 16, 2024 at 10:59 am

Apple will launch the ONE RING…… One ring to bring them into ios and bind them…. ONE Ring to rule them all.????????????

  40. @Adrianek81

    March 16, 2024 at 12:00 pm

    Its like married with apple????

  41. @trumpdrago517

    March 16, 2024 at 12:25 pm

Apple is in a unique position not to include a monthly subscription or to bundle it, $2.99 iCloud plan gets you the extra storage, private relay and the ring. Or make it so the battery last a month and the ring does 0 computing. All the heavy lifting is done by the phone

  42. @KiranUttarkarAwsome

    March 16, 2024 at 1:34 pm

One ring to rule them all.

  43. @nobetta911

Couldn’t build a car. So we’ll build a ring out of spare parts.

  44. @PenneyThoughts

    March 16, 2024 at 3:40 pm

I hate watches, lol. I’ve been using an Oura ring for over two years. The battery failed after the first year, but they replaced the ring. And yeah, the $6/month sub fee is kinda silly, but I doubt they would have replaced it so kindly w/o the sub fee.

  45. @jamescarlson486

    March 16, 2024 at 5:34 pm

Oura Ring is an excellent devise. Apple has their work cut out for them.

  46. @arcadialive4265

    March 16, 2024 at 6:02 pm

Yes, it needs to be here yesterday. A collab with Hermes for some versions would be a game changer.

  47. @nocturnus009

    March 16, 2024 at 6:30 pm

Singing Bowls [????] was recently added to Apple Music & is profoundly satisfying on the meditation chair as well as in anyone’s wind down.

  48. @leksetengah

    March 16, 2024 at 7:50 pm

the main function of apple ring is for complete apple vision pro gesture

  49. @lilmichael212

    March 16, 2024 at 8:11 pm

A ring that was really a companion to the Vision Pro for better hand tracking plus making it a health tracker would be ????

  50. @andystreet1479

    March 16, 2024 at 8:54 pm

sleep ring from apple would complete the collection
