Life is a constant state of both joy and sorrow, dark and light, bitter and sweet. In a meditative conversation, author Susan Cain explores how being attuned to the bittersweetness of life — and being fully present for both the happy times and the sad times — helps us navigate love and loss and connect to the “insane beauty” of the world. The complement of inherited grief is inherited fears.

Emotions are the instrument panel on the dashboard of life.

“To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering”. True, there is no beauty in the world, but the beauty within the way we perceive and interpret it.

Sorrow and joy both have emotional power or value. Sadness or grief can be extremely motivational for positive change. (Get so upset or moved to make changes necessary or not make the same mistake.”I’ll never do that again.” ) The same with joy. Experiencing that state of mind is overwhelming and we learn to strive for that emotion. You can either become bitter or positive. The choice is yours to make with your choices in life are where you end up… Better make it a good one. ✌ I guess that’s is very stoic. 😎

There is bitter and sweet, but they don’t usually mix. They are mostly forgotten amongst the love and hate, ecstasy and suffering, underpinned always with deep mystery that almost no one puts voice to but everyone feels.

Not everyone can demonstrate the ability of an empath. Narsacists, egotistical, sociopaths, and psychopaths have a common thread coursing through their psyche. These personality disorders have a propensity for domination. Hence the idiom that the brain is the best defence over brawn. I advise anyone who works in a toxic environment is get to know the players for the players’ sake. Promoting someone whose goals are oriented to serve a single actor.
