  1. Fair Deception

Yeah sadly the woke culture with thier cancel culture and all the political correctness and massive regulation that got the internet just making everything worst.
Internet was a complete place of sharing culture and Freedom of speech.
Now it is an electoral platform with full of censorship on any différent cultural différence out of the USA one. The totalitarian and authoritarian imperialism of the usa.
Politics must disappear from the internet. Internet in the hands of politicians is a weapon of mass control.

the chaostic internet of the early 2000 is the perfect internet. Barely any moderation whats so ever.

Kids just have to learn to stop being offended by word, like adult with a child brain need to learn too. Stop the Woke culture.

Protecting child on internet is avoid given them freedom and fair use of it. Its in total opposition.

Child need to learn quick how to deal with human kind. The internet must not be policed like Madame ask.

I heard of this first in the tv show silicon valley.
I don’t understand how may the law enforcement track pedophiles etc once their data is completely their own?

Artificial Intelligence will work as a force multiplier for the internet biasness. Most of the social media narratives are controlled by the Western countries and China as these two parts of the world have excelled in AI. Developing countries like India have almost become digital colonies of the US..

    • Julia Nielsen

      February 24, 2022 at 4:38 pm

No, we need to allow free speech on all platforms, regardless of your political, religious, or any other affiliation. No more censoring!

      February 24, 2022 at 4:45 pm

Censored internet is great when the censors agree with you. If we allow any censorship now, hitler will censor you tomorrow.

Yeah, two weeks to “flatten the curve” turned into two years of mandates and harm for children and adults alike, and it did no good since Covid mutated and the vaccines didn’t prevent it. We will rue the day we did all this, all because of fear from the media and government. Oh, and if you’re on a certain political side, you are censored and silenced, so no, the internet has not been free to speak our mind – unless you go along with the subscribed narrative.

who cares, they won’t better anything with access. so let them have the access and prove they’re worthless.

    • luke thomas

      February 24, 2022 at 4:50 pm

No one is preventing them from building the necessary infrastructure, look at what cuba and china have done in terms of internet access.

    • thousand points of light

      February 24, 2022 at 5:00 pm

@luke thomas yeah, and not a single improvement worth noting is coming from either of them.

    • luke thomas

      February 24, 2022 at 5:28 pm

@thousand points of light That would be hard to measure either way. Most of the benefits of the internet anyways in general are download related not upload.

    • thousand points of light

      February 24, 2022 at 5:36 pm

@luke thomas how so? there was a study that came out of harvard that said, it doesn’t matter if poor people get access to the internet, they don’t use it the same way rich people do. understand? you can slap lipstick on a pig all day long, won’t make it a beauty queen.

    • luke thomas

      February 24, 2022 at 5:44 pm

@thousand points of light There are exceptions to those studies, its the same argument with textbooks, some people use them some people don’t. Lots of rich people do stupid stuff on the internet, and sometimes the poorest kid uses the text book and has the best grades.
There is zero correlation between money and intelligence. Any benefit a local community had from that internet connection likely wouldn’t be seen in that study, which likely only measured impact on the internet as a whole. Its also impossible for that study to be accurate, when rich countries had internet access first, there’s no need to create Facebook if someone else already did.

    • Work

      February 26, 2022 at 4:19 pm

@thousand points of light “They don’t use it the same way rich people do.” That doesn’t explain or support your point in any way. Can you be more specific? She spoke about connecting to zoom meetings. Rich people do that too, right?

Free Fair and feminist? I get free and fair, but feminist? I don’t see how you can have a fair internet that is feminist. Also if you spent less money on those expensive clothes, you could donate more to people who need internet.

How you solve bullying online is moving back to the days when you didn’t share private information online, so only your friends can find you online, and if someone is bullying you, there is this magic red x at the top right of your screen that magically ends all bullying.

It is ironic that this posted on the tube of you’s because this entity has repeatedly censored my comments, including when I cite CDC research and provide sources to ask medical experts reasonable questions, without making any statements or claims.

I’m vaccinated, not a cons. theorists, I just had questions about CDC and WHO data.

I’ve learned that I have to type in code in order not to be blanket censored.

So now it’s unfair if people don’t have access to the Internet, a rather novel global network that is more or less free and open if you can access it, except in places where bad government operates. Getting stuff for free just isn’t a moral thing. If you want to donate for the cause, fine, but there’s no right to anything that requires you take by force from another first.

    Modernizing farming, and local community
entrepreneurship is more important to Africa. Internet will not solve most Africans problem except corrupting young minds. That’s been said it helps for a few to sell their products for the mass & that’s the only reason developed nations push the internet agenda on Africa rather than modernizing farming. They want consumerism culture in Africa so we can buy things we don’t need from them & they keep taking the resources from the ground while the mass in Africa Tiktoking.
